i agree me too watched them over while striping tools learned a lot , have you come across timing issues with drills hammer gears and switches , this was a hard lesson .

Watch all your videos, very helpful. I have about 50% chance of success so far at fixing my work tools.have a bosch11227e and the connecting rod broke,now needs armature bearings I think. Thanks

Hi great video ,but it's gear oil that goes into the gear box is it not ? I did alot of research and the gearbox has alot of passage ways in order for the oil to circulate .

good morning , I changed the electrical part of the hammer including the electronic module . When you turn it on it works for about 10 seconds it lowers the energy and the speed of the hammer and turns on the service light! what could be the problem?

Hi Handyman. I have this same Dewalt tool. When I turn it on, it revs high then cuts out after about 2 or 3 seconds. If I turn the speed dial in that brief moment, no change in speed occurs. Is this likely the GAC unit (the speed control module) or something else? I put in new brushes to no effect.

@@madstowt No, I was meaning to look into it as a winter project, and look, it's already spring. So it's either next winter or when the need arises. Will post here with any progress.

@@madstowt Hi my friend. I finally fixed it. Besides the expensive GACC module, I needed a new "fan assy" and "fan baffle", which I didn't realize until I opened it up. Something, probably abrasive dirt, got into the fan and started to grind up the fan baffle. The fan baffle houses some kind of sensor leading from the GACC, which I think detects the spinning of the fan. If no spin, the GACC shuts everything down. That sensor head got ground up too. The sensor head is part of the new GACC. Too bad they don't sell it separately, because I bet the rest of my old GACC is good. Moral of the story: Never lay this thing down in the dirt. tip: I had a helluva time trying to remove the green wire lead and connector from the old GACC. You need every bit of this because a new one is not supplied with the new GACC. I ended up carefully cutting it out of the old GACC with a fine tooth flush saw. I would have used my Dremel, but my cat was sleeping so peacefully. tip: Observe carefully where all of the wires go and how they are routed thru various pegs and standoffs. GACC module N041755 $140 fan assy 1006592-01 $24 fan baffle N016920 $8 I bought these at OEMToolParts and eReplacementParts.

@@madstowt I am sorry, but I don't. no one give any information about oil volume needed but so far it only need grease (green and yellow). my DCH481 has filled with engine oil (around 15 ml) and it feel more vibration produce.
