DeWalt DCH417: First impressions & quick test [DCH416 with QC chuck]

Күн бұрынI got a good deal on a dch417x2-xe kit, and boy that box was so full of goddies i had to film it. And then the usual break-in tests: Drilling concrete, chipping concrete, but since it's got the quick-change chuck also drilling steel, drill wood.

Flipping Eck!! Have dewalt only just came out with a quick change chuck? Atlas Copco had this 30yrs ago then AEG took them over then they became Milwaukee & their quick change chuck system hasn't changed at all in them 30yrs. Fein also has a seriously good Quick change system that has Chucks, Hex adaptor, Socket adaptor, Holesaw adaptor & Annular cutter adaptor that is seriously useful.

Having 2 8A chargers is good if you have 2 plus flexvolt batteries of any size and use them up at the same time. My 2c - I have 5, 1 in house, 2 in garage, 2 on remote site.

You need to include the chuck type in every video. SDS Plus or SDS Max in most cases. I watched this entire thing thinking max (yes, ignorant, sorry), only to find out by searching afterward that it's plus. Just feedback for the future. Thumbnail description hashtags or even title, the more the merrier.

Where did you pick the kit up from half price? I have this rotary and the quick change chuck is annoying. If I get a bit stuck while drilling through re bar, put the drill in reverse and try to get the bit out the chuck detaches from the drill. It would have been better if they bought the dch416 with the fixed chuck or offered both.

Oh yeah that's gonna happen I guess. I still don't know why they make these chucks though, you want a tool like this to be super durable

How do you compare this to the Bosch gbh 18v-32 sds plus?

This one seems to drill faster, despite having lower impact force. It doesn't have the same connectivity or feature as the Bosch, and the kickback control isn't nearly as sensitive. Overall they're quite similar but the DeWalt's more powerful but the Bosch has more bells & whistles

You reckon? I found the Bosch is more powerful. That Bosch hits really hard. i usually pull it out when i need to pound through some re bar. Makita hr008 is nicer and more powerful than the dch417.

Здравствуйте!Смотрю всегда Ваши обзоры и они мне очень нравятся,не могли бы Вы сделать сравнение макиты HR008,этого дквольта 417 и боша с силой удара 5,8дж,а то обзоров твких про макиту нигде нет,буду Вам очень благодарен!!!

Yes I want to get the Makita but it's very expensive so don't know when I can. The Bosch & DeWalt were both on sale👌
