What do you think is a good one to compare it to? I was thinking the big DeWalt dch417, but I didn't know if people prefer to see different brands or same brand

@@BoltahDownunder imho that milwaukee, bosch and dewalt you mentioned in the opening :) basically same class tool from other brands.

Have you ever tried to use drill bits normally used with combi drills for concrete, in a rotary hammer? I mean to use concrete bits with a non-sds shank, in a 3 jaw chuck with an sds shank. In short, use them with the quick change chuck that some of your hammers come with or with the keyed chuck I’ve seen you use in several videos. For diy, this could be useful to avoid buying extra sets of drill bits. But I wonder if the chuck can actually hold onto the bits when the rotary hammer is hammering.

I think I tried it long ago and the impact just opened the chuck really quickly. But you're right, that's worth actually testing and documenting. There is at least one tool out there from Worx that has a 3 jaw chuck and decent impact force (like 0.5j or so) that works ok

Which one would you recommend, HR007 or this HR008, they seem pretty similar in performance? I'm about to buy one of these at almost the same price but can't decide which one. Mostly on

The 008 is the next size up in capacity and it's substantially larger & more powerful. I guess if you're mostly doing around 20mm go the 008, but if it's occasionally drilling that big but mostly say 16mm down, then the 007 should suit you well. If the price is the same I guess go the bigger one, you can always turn down the speed for smaller jobs. If weight is an issue then go the smaller one, which is 1.3kg lighter.
