Here I review the DEWALT Gyroscopic screwdriver and using it for construction work for an entire year ! I give my unbiased, unsponsored, no link opinion.

I was looking at the Bosch Go 2 for all kinds of stuff where I normally just use hand screw drivers, but then came across this gyro one. It seems from all the videos that it's well worth the extra money it costs and gives you much more control of speedvand power than the Bosch one. Definitely going with this.

Yeap I like mine. I like the speed control too👍

II bought one of these gyro screwdrivers two, or three years ago. I never thought I would like an electric screwdriver. After using it a few times, and getting used to how the gyro action works, I liked it enough to buy another one as a backup. I use this tool daily in the kind of work that I do. I love this tool, it makes my work faster, and more efficient. I really like the tilting left, and right to make it rotate left or right. As I said, I use it daily, and am way more than well satisfied with how it works. Just remember to charge the battery once in a while, because you won't like having to go back to a manual screwdriver to finish up a job.

Yeah I like mine a lot too. It’s one of those tools that you don’t know how much you’ll like it until you use it… Then.. you never wanna go back lol

Hell yeah Bosch makes some badass drills. I used to use them in an industrial setting and they worked without breaking a sweat unlike the Milwaukee drills.

Please consider a video review/, comparison of this DeWalt and the straight DeWalt 8v gyro version
@MJ100k2 жыл бұрын
Interesting.. I’ll look into this 👍
@MJ100k2 жыл бұрын
I looked at the straight version … looks like it’s the same as the one I reviewed except it cant adjust to the pistol grip position. It’s about 20/30$ cheaper seems to be the only advantage 🤷♂. I like the pistol grip on mine but if you wanna save alittle cash the straight version should be fine. I would buy one to do the review but they just seem so similar that I’m thinking it may not be an interesting video 🤔

@@MJ100k ordered the pistol grip version. Advantages I found... has a torque setting. Better lighting at tip. The obvious pistol grip when needed and more comfortable to use

Can the gyro feature be turned off? What if I need to put a screw in while leaning in the wrong direction?
@MJ100k2 жыл бұрын
I just took mine out to see: and I don’t see any way to turn off the gyro feature. This is how it works - While your holding it in your hand… the screwdriver won’t move until you also hold down the trigger… once you hold down the trigger then rotate your hand slightly left or right -then it will then activate the screw driver at the end. So you can get the screwdriver into whatever position you need… then hold the button and rotate it slightly for it to work….. Hope that helps 👍

Hi I have drill into hard surfaces to install a barrel bolt on awood door and the clamp housing it slides into to lock the door, on/into a hard metal door frame. Is this a power tool that you think this will do the job of drilling with a hard drill bit into the wood and the metal? If not what is a good recommendation for a under 50-100. drill tool. Thanks / great review / new sub > nyc
@MJ100k2 жыл бұрын
This gyro screwdriver is not going to be strong enough to do that. A DEWALT or Bosch 1/2 inch cordless drill with a metal bit should get thru that metal door. If you get a center punch (or just a hammer and a big nail) you can use that to make a small indentation in the metal, which will make it easier to start the hole.
@MJ100k2 жыл бұрын
Also, I’ve found that when drilling into metal… I like to center punch a small indentation…. Then use a small size bit to make a small hole… then use a bigger bit to make the hole I need. The small indentation helps to keep the drill from walking… then using the small bit first is easier on the drill than skipping right to the large bit. Hope that helps 👍

@@MJ100k 🙏 Hi thank you for your advise; will hv a look then at a cordless drill proper.

Is gyro the only way to get it to move? What if I want to hold it in place
@MJ100k Жыл бұрын
I just picked mine up to test it… If you hold it in place it won’t move… It will begin to move only once you move it to either side. But you only have to move it like a tiny amount for it to start moving slowly. Maybe about 1/8 of an inch. The more you move it the faster it goes. It slows down when you move it in the other direction. It’s really responsive.
@TobyOHara Жыл бұрын
@@MJ100k I just might give it a try.
@MJ100k Жыл бұрын
@@TobyOHara It’s not gonna replace a regular size drill but it’s really good for light weight stuff. Like ikea type furniture assembly and smaller screws you don’t wanna over tighten.
