October 1978; The Balfa Brothers and Bill Monroe performed at the North Seattle High School Auditorium (It's as big as any respectable Theatre), and the place was full. I took my 3 year old son there to see and hear his first concert. Now after all these years he tells me that ,, that evening is the first memory of his life. Next year I was saddened by the news when Rodney and Willie died in an accident. With Dewey gone, a chapter will live in our memories and these wonderful videos, and records.

The Balfa Brothers were great. And Dewey's daughter, Christine, has carried on that greatness. She's fantastic, and keeping the Cajun traditional musuc alive and well

Boy Rodney something else.that singing is all there.and Dewey doesn't back up from nobody when it comes to playing fiddle

The date in the description. The correct date is 1978. Rodney Balfa, who is on guitar here, died in 1979. Merci

Joe, great post. However this couldn't have been recorded in 1983, as Rodney died in 1979.

This wasn’t recorded in ´83. Rodney and Will were killed in a car crash in ‘79.
