My trip to Disney was in November. I watched all of the DFB videos before I went so I could plan out my trip. I was so depressed when my trip was over I didn't watch anymore videos until yesterday. As soon as I heard AJ's voice and the theme music I got so happy, I can't wait for my next trip even if I don't know when it is!

Hey, AJ. I am so happy that you are still putting out DIsney World videos even though the parks are closed. I watch all the time partly to plan our next trip and partly because you clue me in to stuff I would never otherwise know. But it is so comforting to be able to carry on watching your content now that my business had dropped off to nearly nothing and I have a lot more time to spend at home. Our next trip is scheduled for October 2020 and we don't anticipate the shut down to last that long, but you really never know. Again, thank so much for providing a little continuity in these uncertain times.

At the food and wine festival, there's a booth. It was a bit crappy when we were there in 2018 - a lamb chop was one of the foods. I really think they should have done meat pie and sauce and cheesy vegemite scrolls. A pavilion would be awesome.

Thanks for making these videos even in troubled times AJ. Me and my SO watch them every evening after work and are currently in the planning stages of our trip for fall 2021 (I haven't been since 2008 and SO has never been to DW). We're using your videos to make sure we have the best trip ever! We're not sure when the best time to book is if we're looking at a late September early October 2021 trip. Any tips?

Assuming everything is back to normal by then,, I’ve usually travelled in the summer and not had a problem. Although it can get crowded, if you plan your fast passes and get to the parks at rope drop, you should be able to do most of what you want in a week. Pay attention to what weather you would want to travel in the most. Summer is also Florida’s rainy season, so count on an hour or two of rain each day.

Warning it will be extremely hot so bring tons of water or a water bottle. Also the app is glitchy so be aware of that when you don’t get your rise boarding pass (we lost our first pass but they gave us an all day pass for the next day, aka MY magic kingdom day.) but I did rate falcon a 7/10 so not a complete waste of an area to go for just two rides, yes the area only has two rides.

My wife and I enjoy Epcot! It was my second time to Disneyworld and my wife's first time. We went into Spaceship Earth and enjoyed it. We rode The Land twice and enjoyed lunch at the Rose and Crown. We were sitting out on the back patio facing where Winnie the Pooh and Mary Poppins are. The food was delicious but my wife forgot about Carl lol. When she went in to use the loo, she said that the bar area was very crowded and she is a short person who can zig zag out of crowded spaces and she said she was bumping into people. Have only gotten as far as the Land segment for now, but we want to suggest eating at the Spice Road Table, The German Buffet/show and the Mexican restaurant that overlooks the lake. If in the Canadian area, Le Celliar is really nice and really good food. If on the Disney Dining Plan they take 2points per person. We had dinner and it was so worth the points! We enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers for the Flower and Garden Festival and even did the scavenger hunt. We did try a thing of dole whip and it is nice and refreshing on a hot day, but did not get around to eating any of the booth offerings.

Thanks for the great video! The diver lockout chamber is a bit of an artifact of the "Seabase Alpha" that this attraction started with. Most of the divers you see in the main aquarium, and all of the guests who do the snorkeling or scuba experiences there, get in by plopping in from the surface. The lockout chamber experience is more or less a way of keeping guests entertained as nothing involved in it or the scuba equipment is really "modern" yet alone futuristic now.

It’s also likely that the piles of Spaceship Earth provide structural support for the poor soil found around Florida as well as to prevent building uplift during a hurricane (the piles prevent uplift via friction along the length of the pile). Not an expert opinion, but cool to know!

Our FAVORITE area is EPCOT! I was a high-school band trip chaperon in '84 from Wisconsin. On the band's "free day" we wanted to NOT be near any students and I suggested we go to the relatively new Epcot area to escape the kids, recuperate and get out of the VERY hot sun. My fellow chaperones weren't particularly enthusiastic as the "street reputation" of Epcot that it was "educational" (ie. "boring") and didn't appeal to them. I convinced them that we should see if the Contemporary Hotel had a top floor restaurant for lunch AND a bar (the winning selling point). Perfection! I liked it so much that I convinced my wife that we should visit WDW, sans kids for our honeymoon ('93). We could have a no travel, hassle free, relaxing experience. We did all the parks available then and fell in love with Epcot! Lush landscaping, quiet, at that time relatively few young families, ethnic foods, pavilions, shops, strolling street musicians, interesting "educational" exhibits, glorious lagoon with the iconic fireworks, the France pavilion and restaurant (my wife had a college french minor). The Norway pavilion (my relatives were from there...my middle name is Ness) and one could eat actual Norwegian food. The delicious Moroccan restaurant. One particularly hot afternoon we were "rescued" by the Japanese pavilion upper level overlooking the lagoon while imbibing "cool" cocktails! Bliss...... The last evening we splurged on a concierge level room at the World Swan with all the concomitant benefits! Extravagant bathrobes, lounge areas overlooking WDW, complementary cookies, bakery, coffee, fruit, juices....the whole "nine yards". Private sandy beach surrounded lagoon with towels, reclining lounge chairs and large umbrellas, exclusive hotel shops........again PERFECTION. We revisited in '06 and '08 with daughter and son. "Iconic" family vacations seen through young eyes. I'm aware that Epcot has become much more "ride-centric" and sort of "dumbed down". Not as cultural and refined. Sad.. But lots of cherished memories. Thanks!
