@@bzb_ I do listen to kpop and have for nearly 12 years. You're completely wrong about pop being pop and only language being different. There are different styles, song structures, sounds, and influences, especially among kpop. Dreamcatcher, for example, is largely considered kpop but incorporates rock and also plays with many genres. Some groups or artists lean more towards r&b, others into bubbly upbeat music, some are all over. I wouldn't say kpop is "mostly created by westerners." Yeah, kpop will use writers and producers from other countries, but saying "mostly" seems a great overestimate. Plus, that is not at all what I was talking about. I'm not in the mood nor have the time to continue educating as an essay could easily be written on the topic. Overall, I disagree and think you're greatly undermining and/or misunderstanding the complexity of kpop. Edit: re-reading your comment, it seems you're a huge Jackson Wang fan and I feel you're reacting mostly because I said his music isn't to my taste. No idea why you're acting like I said I hated him and that he sucked when all I said was I have different musical preferences and I, in fact, started that he is talented and I still like him.
