The protests aren't just nothing. They aren't allegations too, almost every Dhar Mann actor is protesting and I get that some actors are also defending him too but that doesn't turn off the fact they're still protesting against Mann because they're not getting enough.

I mean sense they didn’t have fair payment it could be that the ones he liked more he payed more which is why some just couldn’t relate to the other workers saying they didn’t get enough money to live. And it also seemed like around 80% of the actors where in the protests to I would believe them more than anything really.

They'd have to sign contracts regardless of anything, considering their paid actors. Even if they were to only make $1/hour, it would have to be put down in a contract how much these actors would be making legally. Which they all decided to sign, and partake in these videos regardless of anything. So it's really hard to feel bad for any of them, considering they didn't have to be part of his studio nor continue working with Dharr after they were paid. This Mair girl, is turning the entirety of this situation into a joke now. She seems like she's only chasing attention, and now that she's got it she's being extra all of a sudden (putting on a southern accent with no reasoning, is what got me) Something was clearly done to upset a few of the actors. And now a bunch of them are just hopping onboard trying to capitalize off everything going on. I'm definitely not a Dharr Mann fan. But I'm just giving my outsiders opinion based off everything I've heard about this whole situation

Notice how the actors that retracted their statements gave out very similar and seemingly scripted statements, as if it wasn’t exactly what Dhar wanted they would be fired or their pay would be cut. They didn’t magically change their minds, they were threatened with unemployment or lower pay. Just because the pay might be livable and possibly even comfortable for some does not mean it is enough for others.

I think the cease and desists were probably the biggest reason why they retracted their statements like that. I'd assume Dhar Mann probably sent them like a template or prompt for how they would apologize. Plus, it's not like the writing in the skits was that good. They reused the same format and lines, so I'm not surprised that they couldn't be bothered to write different formats for the "correction" videos.

I always actively despised Dhar Mann's videos because they were so patronising and obnoxious, so discovering that he's actually a POS doesn't surprise me in the SLIGHTEST. There are ways to tell the stories without being so ridiculously out of touch, and it's clear that he was always the one taking advantage of other people.

Honestly this makes me sad, I never really watched his videos, but I did stumble across one on Instagram a few years ago that was about taking your mom for granted. It was during a time I was struggling to figure out who I was, and as a result I was being pretty hateful and rebellious towards my mom, we’d been fighting constantly. It actually made me cry once I sat there and thought about how I’d hurt her, she didn’t deserve that, she had always been good to me and forgiven me many many times- Ever since I saw that cheesy little video I have been going out of my way to be close with my mom, and to tell her how truly thankful I am for her often. We now have a great relationship and I’d even call her my best friend. Makes me sad that this guy, who did actually make a video that helped me change, is becoming the opposite of what he always advocated.

as someone who lives in socal and familiar with how these things work on backstage, etc to find bookings, (IVE BEEN ASKED TO BE ON DHAR MANN AFTER THE PROTESTS LOL) it's the most bs excuse ive ever heard. Cody Ko had a deadline to reach for his video. He also reached out to Dhar. Dhar CAN make time. He just tells his agent NOT to. You'd be surprised how many yes men there are that have money to give to Dhar that follow him because of numbers. All they see is numbers and they go off that. I hope the actors know they're appreciated and loved. Fight for what's right, cause Dhar has been taking advantage, and they know what's up.

I know the actor was playing devils advocate by saying that they weren't being paid minimum wage, while other workers are getting paid that, he forgot that they are contract workers. Most employees who are not contract workers are getting paid minimum wage but in addition, get medical and dental benefits, among others.

If it were only two actors who had similar complaints, maybe it could be coincidence, but if most your well known actors are complaining and sharing very similar true experiences, then that is a problem and not just a “few probable bad experiences or mistreatments” it’s a toxic and hostile work environment.

We see them use ppl in business, use women in relationships, staying with a woman long enough for her to help grow in wealth before he leaves her, etc. If your appreciation does not grow at the same rate as the person you're helping, fon't help. You have to be an employee to get benefits. They weren’t employees. They were independent contractors. They would sign a new contract for every single acting story that they were a part of.

No. 1099 employees do not need to be provided with benefits 401ks insurance paid leave nothing under US law. Door dash, Uber, etc are all 1099 employees. He probably also kept the number of actors under 50 as well to reap more tax deductions and breaks as well hence why he recycled the same actors and actresses. I always knew something shady was going on. I detest his videos anyway.
