The most helpful and useful thing I learned during my RLE days (na naa-apply ko everywhere) is drug familiarization. Before giving meds, dapat alam mo ang action, indication, side effects, contraindications etc. ng drugs na ibibigay mo sa patients kasi 100% sure na tatanungin ka ng pasyente mo. Same as sa mga nursing procedures, bloodworks and diagnostics. Familiarize yourself dapat especially yung mga instructions pre and post the procedure. Ang pag-aaral ng nursing hindi nagi stop once you got your license. Continuous learning yan kasi napakalawak ng nursing. Dapat nga may mga majors ang BSN eh like BSN Major in- Maternal Health, Pediatric, Med-Surg, Psyche and a lot more. Napakalawak ng Nursing kaya hindi ko maintindihan bakit undervalued at underappreciated ang profession na ito. Salute to all nurses! 🙂

1.Always be prepared 2. know the basics / fundamentals/ theoretical/ health assessment Anaphy heart,positions, nursing diagnosis, inflammatory responses 3.Understand then memorize 4. Nursing process - Challenge yourself especially in Case presentations, choose hard topics 5. Practice makes prefect ( RLE) - Be proactive, always ask relevant questions when in doubt. - WAG MAGBULAKBOL MAHAL AND NURSING 6.Understans, analyze, memorize lab values. 7. Master priotization needs, MASLOW HIERARCHY OF NEEDS 8. Be a drug Master side effects is different with adverse effects ( unintended,unexpected)

I'm a 1st year student nurse ngayon and I find it veryy hard since hindi ako mahilig sa science and this course is my 2nd choice talaga pero gusto ng mama ko nursing dahil midwife siya, so may part din naman sa puso ko na gusto yung nursing pero ang hirap lalo na pag hindi ka makasabay sa mga kaklase mo, feeling ko ang bobo bobo ko kasi laging ang baba ng quizzes ko tapos exams ganon pero nung nag try na kami magskintest dun ko naipakita yung skills ko as in tuwang tuwa yung mga classmates ko kasi ang bilis ko lang daw tapos no blood na lumabas and with that na inspire ako lalo and everytime na napapagod ako iniisip ko lang na para din ito sa family ko, gusto kong alagaan yung parents ko and my friends knows how caring I am noon pa man hindi pa ako nagnunursing, and maybe I am meant for this course since I really love caring for other people. Kaya kahit may duda ako sa sarili ko naglolook forward pa din ako na matatapos at mapapasa ko ang board exam at magiging nurse ako! kahit hindi ako ganon ka galing, kahit na gabi gabi akong umiiyak kay Lord para lang magawa o maintindihan ko lahat ng kailangan. parang ako lang ikaw. ganyan din ako eh pero bb ko masyado. pero ang parent ko naman is gusto ako maging nurse then wala akong choice na gustong gagawin aside sa choice ng parent ko. u motivate me, like hindi lang ako nag iisang nahihirapan, may nauna sa akin naghihirap so, why naman ako susuko kung kinakaya ng iba diba? kaso, napaka conscious ko naman sa katawan ko, ang pangit pangit ko, maitim at mataba, yan rin ang thing kaya naging alone ako kasi hindi naman ako sineseryoso ng mga tao like gusto ko makipag friends like close friend, na araw araw nagsasama, hindi yung friend lang para may mapag-tanungan about schoool then wala na hindi na mamansin. kaya ako hindi ko alam kung saan ako lulugar dahil parang hindi naman ako bagay sa lahat. tapos wala pang knowledge ang utak ko puchak. ayun... aside dun, thanks for sharing ur experience, I will looking forward unto it.

I’m a PT student and 1 tip i could give for incoming freshmen who will pursue ung ALLIED courses such as nursing, medtech PT/OT etc. Isa puso ang mga binabasa and make sure na itatabe nyo lahat ng notes nyo kase u will surely use that sa lahat ng majors nyo ❤️ Also, hindi pwedeng papasok ng school ng wala kang binabasa :) dahil everyday ay may Quiz!! Pre-Quiz and Post-Quiz PADAYON!!!!

I'm a 3rd year nursing student and yes po, nursing school is no joke when it comes to attendance, discipline, honesty, and punctuality. Nursing school is definitely hard and how I wish I know all these beforehand. But since ito talaga yung dream profession ko, I still pursued and took risks. To all those aspiring and incoming nursing students, I hope you've thought this one through and have passion, dedication and the willingness to be in a commitment with this profession. It takes huge risks, sacrifices, ample of time, and a brave heart especially when it comes to clinical duties. Nursing is a noble profession and what differs is that we get to see the start and the end of life. We are always there during that time comes. We're all needed and we must always be there to those who needed us.❤️❤️❤️Laban lang tayo student nurses, let the sound and desire of our hearts be heard louder than our stethos!❤️❤️❤️

TIP: Use a planner na may dates. Jot down exams, quizzes, RD's, case pres lahat siz ilista mo. Ischedule mo lahat para makita mo when to rest and when to stay up

I'm not a nursing student but a first year medtech student but I really find it helpful. Our professors always tells us din to master the basics kaya talaga hanggat maaga pa talagang iniintindi ko na yung anaphy with pathophysiology namin na subject and I really find it interesting. Ate Mae, nalakaboost ng morale itong videos mo abt nursing. Suugest ko i discuss mo naman yung whole process of working abroad (exam, application and requirements per country). Kasi dati sabi nila "Be practical, mag nursing ka". Pero hindi lahat aam yung mga pinagdadaanan para makapunta abroad. Its not just gaining experience. I remember nung 4th year HS ako then hindi pa din ako sure sa itatake ko ng college. Then sabi ni Mama, mag NURSING ka. Maputi ka kasi Matangkad ka kasi. Tapos sabi ko ayoko. For me super enjoy mag RETDEM, nakakakaba lalo na if nakakatakot ang C.I, pero to tell you, ganyan sila at first cause they want us to learn and understand everything. Yes maybe basic lang ang iba like proper handwashing and gloving, newborn bath, bed bath. Pero put in mind na kahit basic lang ang mga to, napakahelpful and important nito lalo na if may hawak na tayong patient. Grabe rin makapag pakaba ang RLE especially when duty na sa community and hospitals. But then so exciting, challenging and heart warming talaga if nakahelp ka sa patients. Minsan pag uwi sobrang pagod ka but then at the same time ang saya mo rin dahil may mga panibago kang natutunan. Ang pinakamakapag papasaya sayo pag nasabihan ka ng C.I mo or ng Doctor na "VERY GOOD" sa word na yan kasi mas mamomotivate ka to learn more, to help more. YES, NAKAKAKABA ANG LAHAT BUT THEN YOU NEED TO OVERCOME THOSE. Nakakahiya naman sa patient natin if napansin nilang kinakabahan tayo diba? hindi na sila magtrutrust. Sayang naman experience diba? Mapapahiya ka pa. Ps. Love Nursing. Study passionately and don't forget to enjoy. 2nd year college of BSN here!!! God bless everyone. And to you!! Our Future Frontliners!! ❤
