When I do the G-sync/V-sync setup and set my FPS cap to 141 it locks me to 138 in game. Should i up the cap in the Nvidia Settings to 144? I have a 144 monitor.

Hey I got a 4080 32gb ram i7 13k games runs smooth 4k 120h but anytime I open a menu cutscene or map it seems to cause extreme stuttering afterwards I literally have no idea why also when I go to a vendor menu it makes my gpu automatically run at 100% any advice?

Man.. Thank you.. I was trying everything I could think of to get this game to stop the stuttering bs. I would just get worse the longer I played and would have to restart to get it to stop. G-Sync was the ticket. Switched my 2k monitor to Active Sync and turned it on in the control panel. Worked like a charm and now the game runs as smooth as silk at 200+ fps..

You dont need to cap your framerate if you have reflex on because when vsync is enabled reflex caps your framerate.

Using a 4070, found that frame generation actually reduced my fps slightly. I think its because it uses slightly more VRAM, and Diablo allocates all 12Gb of the VRAM (not actually using it). Just a heads up from my own experience

Thanks for the guide pal, Got about a 30% increase with my 3080 uncapped but ended up locking in with GSync. Out of interest what is the reasoning behind setting the game FPS can by -3 FPS, I'm the same as you at 144hz set to 141fps. Just wondered what we did it for. Cheers!

Damn, the whole thing with leaving fps cap at max and V-sync off in game, and enabling all that in Nvidia Control Panel is a game changer; completely eliminated all the little micro-stutters I'd get. Thanks for the tip!

It seems to me like the game runs pretty well, but transitioning between zones in game causes massive rubberbanding and lag spikes that really impact gameplay

my fps was fine, but every time I was in the menu or in a darker setting, my screen was flashing. (no, not a dying GPU it was running very cool, like 40 celsius) with your settings this annoying flashing has disappeared so thanks a lot!

Because before the patch, DLAA was not really working. You are better of using DLSS ultra quality. DLAA to DLSS ultra gives you around a 80% frame boost! Not 10% like he says in the video. Tough it depands on the ingame situation.

Nvidia 10xx/16xx series and AMD cards can enable FSR. Not as good as dlss but it helps a lot.

depends. are you using gsync and/or vsync? are you using nvidia reflex?

@@Jakiyyyyy do you have a reflex capable gpu and gsync monitor? if so just cap your frames below your monitor, set NULL off, set reflex on (it wont engage) and turn vsync on you get the benefits of vsync anti tear and gsync antitear without the latency i see no reason to use NULL if you have reflex though

He's full of crap.. The game is running in windowed full-screen mode so you have to use vsync if you don't have gsync or freesync monitor which alot of people don't.

Enable vsync to "on" for every program in Nvidia Ctrl panel. Or "Fast". I have gsync TV but I seem to get screen tearing sometimes when looking at the D4 map. Capped 90 fps in Nv ctrl panel for 120hz TV. Ppl used to tell me to just cap fps to avoid screen tearing. But tearing happens when you get low fps too, apparently. I hate how difficult it is for ppl to explain the full truth. I don't even understand the explanations BlurBusters use on their site. Some ppl say 3 fps under max Hz for gsync. Some say 6 under. Some say it's not necessary bc gsync does it automatically! Some say to use high performance mode. It's all so confusing lol. I miss console.

I'm running a 3080/i9-10900k/64gb ram and when I'm in the game for a while it just starts lagging/freezing the first hour or so is always fine. Then it starts freezing my other applications like my browser and when I close Diablo 4 it takes like a solid 5-10 minutes to. My pc can pretty much handle any other new game without issues so this is particularly frustrating.. Just been wondering if anyone has simliar issues or found a fix eventually?

I have a 144hz monitor with a 1.4 DP cable...all windows and nvidia settings show it running at 144hz but when in D4...the in game fps does not go higher than 120hz. I cannot figure what is wrong. My sliders are set to 144 foreground and background. Running an RTX 2080 ti 16 gb of ram (I read that 32 is only necessary if I'm running 4k ultra but I considered this as an issue) My Cpu: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz

My framerate is capped both in Rivia and ingame fps checked at 138 after changing all as in the guide. I cannot get 141. It's 138 instead. Why is that? I'm on 3060, so might get dropps below the cap of my monitor 144. Can I set in the nvidia panel 100FPS? with this nvidia reflex just enabled I guess. Frametimes are around 7.3 ms

iam playing on 2080 averaging 107 fps 2k optimised by gforce experience didnt even look in settings to be honest :D minimum clocks on my asus card no oc or anything so i think its pretty good ...whats weird the busier screen gets the higher fps seems to be getting ? weird as diablo 3 when first came out 1070 was getting single digits when plenty of monsters attacked you and all party members were going hard at it ..

My drivers are fully up-to-date and I have a 3080TI and I'm getting 20FPS on the character select and really struggle to hold 60fps in actual gameplay, really not sure what is wrong - Your FPS is simply stellar compared to mine. Edit: I found the problem, my GPU power target was set to 29% for some reason in EVGA Precision X1. Second Edit: Seems to also be able to happen in MSI Afterburner. Third Edit: Driver update 537.13 caused the issue to reoccur.

Thank you so much, i have an EVGA 3080 and couldn't understand why i was only getting 20 fps on high settings. Ran Precision X1 and found my power limit was also set to like 21% ???? put it back up to 100% power usage and bang 150 fps.

Mine seems to be suffering some weird things just in this game. So I've done more testing since, on the latest Nvidia game ready driver, which has support for Diablo 4. Essentially with overlay on in game so I can see what the GPU is doing, it seems to be weirdly dropping the memory clock speed down from 7000 or 8000mhz to 800mhz. In addition to this it's also dropping the clock speed down from 1890mhz region to 1100mhz. It's doing this on and off every 2 seconds roughly. Which is inline with the FPS jumping from 200's to the low 40's and then back up. The drops are so heavy that the stuttering is unplayable. Only way I can even play this atm is with DLSS on , set to ultra performance mode and capping the foreground FPS to 120. Also setting quality settings to medium. So far it's not dropping anymore. But definitely there is some weird game engine behaviour going on with this game .

My I5 and gtx 979 can’t even run on low settings now and it used to run on medium super easy.. I think a hot rod screwed the game settings or soemthing? It stutters constantly now and it jumps from 15-60 the whole time.. depressing as I was having fun and now it’s useless..

I feel like I'm missing something, why did you turn on Vsync in Nvidia Manage 3D Settings menu? Doesn't Vsync just cap FPS at 60fps and you have Gsync on, from my understanding is you're just supposed to turn off Vsync with in any game and any global settings when using Gsync. Please correct me if I'm wrong and if you can provide your source that might say otherwise. Thanks for the video and any further help you can provide.

It automates it depending on whether you choose performance balanced etc. Mine is on highest performance and it changed my sharpening default (idk like 8 9 or somthing) to 90. The 90 sharpening only changes when you edit the tab to change from balanced high quality high performance etc

I have a RTX 4070 + Old Dell year 2014 hex core xeon 32 gigs ram and get 185 fps on highest setting and DLSS OFF. No need at 1080p 240hz. Smooth as butter. Turn off vsync no screen tearing but can lock the fps at 120 (1/2 of 240) if you like but don't need to.

I have cpu i3 and graphics card nvidia 960. Everything is on low or off completely (antialiasing an shadows) all at either off or low. I get great performance form 60 to over 100 fox. Yes I need a new computer I know I’m broke right now. Anyways, my fps is fine but I am getting between 75-95 ish latency! Any suggestions (I am saving money for new PC)

Can you give me tips, I have a 1060, I also have all settings on low but I’m still having horrible issues with stuttering whenever I try to render a new area

Stop pitying yourself for the state of your current PC, there's nothing wrong playing on low settings. I'm sure you'll build your dream PC in the future :)

The tip on DLSS was helpful... I was kind of bummed that I couldn't consistently use the High quality textures with my 2060/6GB VRAM... not without texture loading-induced stuttering. Setting to the Medium setting, turning on DLSS, and limiting to 75FPS via nvidia control panel has resulted in smooth and acceptable looks. The higher-quality textures are beautiful, though! Someday perhaps... just can't get over the idea of spending over $1K on a graphics card!!

I think there is a setting that locks the cursor to the game to keep that from happening.

How should nobody be using vsync? I need to use vsync in pretty much most games when using my 4k TV as a monitor or I get screen tearing when I move the camera. If you know some way to fix that without vsync let me know

@@Jakiyyyyy ok why would I need to cap at 3 fps below refresh rate of I'm using vsync? You're right, I don't see why vsync is an issue in this type of game anyway but my TV is 60 hz 4k and I'm selecting vsync and it just caps the fps to 60 fps automatically. If you're talking about freesync or something then yeah, you need to cap the fps slightly below the refresh rate or you still get screen tearing but never heard of needing to do it for vsync. If you can explain further I'd appreciate it.
