Thank you Allie for sharing your experience with Parkinson’s with Katie interviewing and discussing the importance of advocating this disease of and educating others! I knew a very dear man and watched him wither away and he died. I now have a friend, in his mid 60’s who was really struggling with his symptoms-it’s affecting his speech now. He was involved in a form of martial arts, his whole life. He was a master and taught many others the appropriate skills. I don’t live near him now and he has progressed so far. I hope you continue to have good days. Blessings and peace to you Allie.

I know that the internet can be treacherous, but hearing of the new friends and data that Allie Signorelli has acquired through online groups is such a positive thing. I love her attitude as she is not afraid to smile or laugh while taking about this condition. Information is power, so I thank Katie Couric and Allie Signorelli for sharing.

Thank you so much for doing this! I've spent the last ten years trying to figure out what was going on. Ten years of the wrong diagnosis. I waited for almost a year to go to a woman neurologist at Washington University. I have to drive two hours to see a doctor that took me seriously. Finally, I found out I have had Parkinson's for years. The male neurologists that I had seen in Columbia MO. dismissed me over and over. I became almost suicidal when one of them said it looked like I was coming off drugs. I've never done drugs but he wouldn't listen. So, my symptoms started at age 50. I got diagnosed at age 60. It's been 10 years of trying to be heard, of thinking I was crazy, and most of all wanting to die. I've been calling the local Parkinson's group number but to date, I have not gotten a call back. I'm single which makes it a challenge at times. Your story gives me a little hope.❤

THANK YOU so much for this. I hear Crisper technology could play into cures. We have the means as a country to solve suffering with support for funding. This is a bi partisan issue.

I appreciate an episode on this important topic but right when Allie spoke of her being diagnosed instead of plunging into how it’s diagnosed , I would have liked to have heard more of how she reacted to the diagnosis , it’s impact, the emotional and psychological side

I am not a certified professional but I have worked in state group homes so I have seen Parkinson’s. My father has been showing signs of Parkinson’s and I just tried to tell him.

How do you tell your own father that he has Parkinson’s? He’s so stubborn! I know how to give him the exam for bradykinesa so I can prove it to him. I just need him to get treatment ASAP!

My father’s dopamine level must be so low because he acts so bi polar. His legs and hands shake all the time but it could be controlled if he would just take medication!

I don’t appreciate Katie c comments regarding trump and Israel/Gaza . She is a true liberal. But the interview was informative . I just don’t care for her opinions in general.

Why do you start out about trump. You just did an injustice to Allie’s whole story.
