So fitting the Angel lights left me with a warning light on the dash so i teamed up with Carly Connect car so i can simply plug their device into my obd port and cancel any faults swell as unlock a few hidden features on my BMW.
Theres so much more this Carly App can do and is essential if you own a BMW.

I have the Carista one which does the exact same as the Carly, for what you pay for it it’s a great little thing to have to change settings, find faults, clear faults etc

My opinion is that the auto Start/stop is great and i love it,you save fuel..you think that you're putting wear to the starter and the battery but the truth is the engine does not turn off completely and this car is built to do that..they spend hundreds of thousands hours stressing the car especially the starter to see if this system is gonna work so don't worry about wear on your car..anyway this is how you like your car and btw excellent video but you need to get more knowledge about BMW's if you want to remain a great channel Cheers

The start/stop disable is a "MUST"!!! The oil pump takes some time to fill up the oil pressure in the engine internals, the start/stop will help killing your timming chain pretty faster.

Of course it turns the engine off completely! 😂 and you could argue the research for everything! They've put months into every single vehicle only for people to ruin it with a £60 exhaust from ebay hahaha

I’m in the market to buy a similar aged 1 series, I recognised that the car has a lot of miles and wanted to know what kind of issues you get and how often you experience issues too :)

Alex Elsworth I recently bought one BMW 1series E87 2009 with about 150000 km. The car got a new motor after 70000 km because the owner of the car drove it like a maniac I think. You should make sure that the motor is alright because those motors have some problems. If you do not know much about cars, take the BMW to a mechanic before you buy it, to make sure that you do not have to invest lots of money. Mine was alright and I got it for about 4800€ which is something about 4434 Pounds. I hope that I could help you. Best of Luck !

Hello Mat, I have a BMW E87-2005 and I recently changed the headlights of my car to xenon, but unfortunately the light does not work and I need a light module that supports xenon, my question is, should I buy this part second hand? which is for a BMW E87-2008, does it work!? Install it and program it!? What do you suggest?

Hey man great video but do you know if i can recovere my AUX-Connection in my E87 with Carly. It got lost as the car was reset and now i can only switch between my Radio or my CD Player. Greetings from Germany !

can you make the angeleyes run at all times and when your driving in a tunnel your driving lights atomaticly turns on and off again when your out of the tunnel? :)

Did this also get rid of the adaptive headlight warning or was yours not optioned with it? I can’t get rid of that warning since I put aftermarket lights on…

The angel eyes you have on there are they aftermarket and did you or can you make the angel eyes brighter with the App

Did the start stop turn off work? Did you not have to first press the button on dash so it was light red and off then code to off?

Instead of paying for a yearly subscription for a thing you rarely use I recommend paying a little more and buying a launch tab or something similar. Buy extra adapters, if needed, from china. Definitely better, more professional and long term cheaper than carly.

Since this is a diesel, it has the n47 engine, have you ever been afraid of the timing chain issue? Have you had it fixed? What can you say about that? I’m looking to buy a diesel 1 series however that issue is a bit off putting. Thanks

Yeah the chain is actually rattling slightly at the minute but we brought this car as a run about and got it real cheap. Done about 10k miles in it so far and touch wood it's been fine

Go to a garage mate a reliable trustworthy one he isn't going to help he does this for residual income, and as for the carly he's probably sponsored for it buy the bimmercode one off payment no subscription

You need to buy a separate adapter for the porshe each car has his own adapter but use the same app, so that mean you need to buy 2adapter but pay once for the app

You should upgrade rear lights to LEDS man. I bought myself some but can't get them installed (fml). Something with not having factory xenon or something and I don't have enough experience to figure out all the wiring.. (all lights work except for the regular rear tube lights). There are some sick black ones on the market.
