How Can I Renew My Mind? With Jonny Ardavanis

In this episode, Hank Bowen and Jonny Ardavanis sit down in the new Dial In Ministries studio and discuss the topic of renewing the mind.
As Christians, knowing sin is bad is not enough, we also need to have our affections transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.

- How can I want to do what I ought to do?
- How can I truly hate sin?
- How do I genuinely love Jesus more?
The answer would be: You need to have your mind renewed through the power of God's Spirit working through God's Word.
Jonny Ardavanis is the Lead Pastor at Stonebridge Bible Church in Franklin, TN and the President of Dial In Ministries. He formerly served as the Dean of Campus Life at The Master’s University and as a Camp Director at Hume Lake Christian Camps. Jonny’s heart is to see people understand and love the Word of God and more so, to love the God of the Word. Jonny is married to Caity Jean and they have two precious daughters.

My friend and I came out of church and decided to get something to eat, out side we noticed a homeless man, so we decided to get him some food, we got to talk with him and this man starting quoting scripture to us and he knew alot more scripture than us but he told us he didn't believe in it and that stuck to me. You can know alot of scripture which you should know but you also have to believe in it. The true worshipers will worship Jesus in Spirit (the Holy Spirit) and truth (His word, the bible).

Im reading a book. Knowing God by packer and it talks about something similiar. We may know alot about God. But do we actually know Him ?

John 17v17 Jesus praying. 'Father, sanctify them by your Truth. Your word is Truth.' The Word washes us. The Word is the Spirit. The Spirit convicts us of sin, righteousness and judgement. 2 Tim 3v16 The Word is sufficient for godly living. Information plus application equals transformation.
