@@biggpicture2930I think with me it started after researching JFK, that and also the 2nd Iraq war. When we went to war over literally nothing, cost millions of lives, destroyed the country of Iraq, funded terrorist groups that were attacking Christian’s of that land. All over netanyahoos intel of WMD’s that were confirmed to never be there. Just absolutely shameful, we basically fought a war for netanyahoo, and it wasn’t the first time and it won’t be the last time that we fight a war for them, sadly.

The Philippines currently owns 7641 islands, some used to belong to China 3000 years before there was such a thing called the Philippines (Created in 1946), but China let it go because at the time when the US seized those islands from China, China was a battered and weakened country having been invaded by the US, UK, Germany, France, Austria-Hungary, Italy, Russia, and Japan. But now with Bongbong Marcos at the helm the US uses the PH to fight its war with China much like it uses Ukraine to fight Russia! I have read the US’s military think tanks’ papers and they said the US should use the PH along with other countries in the Pacific (Such as Japan, S Korea, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, and China’s own province of Taiwan to fight China so that China would be weakened and won’t have the ability to surpass the US since the idea was to weaken China so that the US would always be the most dominant country in the world and be able to rule every country in the world like it has been doing for nearly a century. Those papers said that the PH would be the US’s prime target to be used to fight China since its locations could be used to block China’s sea trading routes and sink China’s cargo ships and it provides the US with a battleground site to fight China so that any deaths and destructions would be incurred by the Filipino people and not by the American soldiers.

Wouldn't it have been wonderful if President Putin, then, some of our Russian & American friends/allies in WW2, all representatives, ( & not showcasing and giving Pres. Macron & Pres. Biden far too much camera or attention,) so we could have let all viewers see who we were back then, our common goal to stop overall domination by/of Germany. This big event that is spoken of here, spoken of each year and how often have we heard, talked very much of the Russian armed forces driving Germans from Moscow, after their invasion, all the way back to Berlin? I think most in the Western world believe WE, U.S. primarily fought in & beat Hitler. Mr. Putin should have been a main speaker there that day instead of Biden, plagiarizing Reagan's solemn story that Pres. Reagan spoke in 1984. (Side by side, split screen, nearly word for word Biden copied Reagan...much less effective, but not a peep from our govt. run press, except one tv channel remarked on it.

The Philippines has more than 7600 islands of which only about 2000 are inhabited. More than 5000 of the islands are yet to be officially named. And yet the Philippines is in contention with China and other countries over the tiny Spratly Islands of which none are really inhabited. Philippines should embrace China and tell the U.S. to go home (that's the sanitized version of what they should tell the U.S.).

Jeff J. Brown is going to be significantly surprised when and if he retires with his wife to Taiwan. He is living in the past, as his comments about Taiwan Province license plates clearly demonstrates. The Taiwan Provincial government was downsized during constitutional reforms way back in 1996, with many of its responsibilities transferred to the National Development Council and the Executive Yuan. In July, 2018, the Provincial government with all its parts and budget were abolished. I have lived here in Taiwan for over 35 years, and I am shocked to hear Jeff J. Brown describe the people of Taiwan as being "very Japanese in their behavior". He then goes on to make a list of characteristics that the Taiwanese share with Japanese. In reality, most of these characteristics are rooted in the Chinese culture of the Taiwanese people. I have worked with Taiwanese people for years, and I have never heard ANY people describe a deep lasting Japanese influence on the culture here. The Taiwanese people may claim that they are different from Chinese people POLITICALLY, but nearly ALL the people here will admit that they share cultural backgrounds with Chinese people. How could they not? They speak Chinese; they eat Chinese food; they worship religions that are shared with China (there are no adherents of Shintoism or Japanese forms of Buddhism here); they celebrate Chinese holidays. Brown is accurate in his description of how the DPP government has tried to whitewash Chinese history, study, geography, etc. from the education system, but he is perhaps unaware that many young children learn of these from other sources than the government education system. Ask elementary schools students here about traditional Chinese literature such as Journey to the West, and you will find that they ALL know the stories of Tang dynasty Buddhist monk Xuanzang, the Monkey King Sun Wukong, the pig/man Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing.

With the Korean War this worried the Philippine government and the U.S negotiators did a deal for a certain amount of U.S bases to counter any possible expansion of the communist threat. By the 70’s the threat was long gone and Marcos senior started working up the local population with anti American sentient to kick out the yanks so by the 80’s there was less then 15,000 u.s servicemen there by the early 90’s it was under 8,000 and with the closer of Clark under 100 and these where liaison officers….hard to control a WHOLE country with no bases and under 100 military..🤷‍♂️…seriously Mr Brown you have to be honest if you expect to be taken seriously. Then with all the changing geopolitical realities in the last 30 years this has ended up with the U.S having 9 bases or access to bases under a military agreement…that’s a presence but with all those 1,000’s of islands and millions and millions of people it’s not a “controlling force”. Even this new Marcos stated in April he’s unwilling to give the yanks access to anymore Phillipino bases, the Phillipino elite might be corrupt and westernized but it doesn’t make them anti Asian , anti Chinese or stupid, they might be self centered but they will NOT destroy their country for the U.S they are NOT like the west Ukrainians who took control of Kiev with a CIA coup in 2014 totally different situation. I won’t even start on his thoughts on Korea or Taiwan…and the British invented “concentration camps” in the Boer war…killed thousands of women and children via disease mainly, Brit’s and their empire troops rounded up thousands and thousands of farm families to stop them helping the native insurgents. I’m an old bloke in Australia and have never left my country but I do read a lot and have an older brother who’s ex Army and he is married to a local Phillipino and has lived over there for the last 15 years, he’s of the opinion that there very welcoming friendly intelligent people but if you cross them…well they don’t take shit from anyone. I would love my country to kick out the U.S bases here in Australia and pivot hard to ASIA, ..no it won’t happen in my life time and probably not in my sons 🤷‍♂️ but you can only hope. I think the average American, Australian, Canadian etc (western citizen) is not racist, expansionist or wants to dominate the world but are fed propaganda from the globalist elites who control our so called democracies and the propaganda media machines so the citizens are told we are “defending democracy” or helping a smaller victimized country…all lies but it works until one day it doesn’t lol. I think this bloke is delusional at best or deranged at worst. Just my opinion and I may be wrong…I did listen to the end as I believe in listening to many views. Regards from Australia 🇦🇺

Hi @calyncraven1141 thanks for your reply, yes rereading my post I was way too harsh, with my personal remarks, my apologies to Mr Brown, I do think he sincerely believes what he’s saying. I did find a lot I agreed with like NATO and Von de lying etc. But my remarks on the Phillipines I believe to be accurate, does not mean I am, just my opinion. regards from Australia 🇦🇺

@@darrellcross4538 i dont think your information on PH is correct. the US doesn't need to control a country with military bases. All they need to do is entice, bribe, coerce, threaten the politicians, senior government officials and senior military officers to keep them under their control. The US does it all the time. 1. Kids of politicians, etc are offered scholarships to study in Ivy leagues or military colleges in the US. 2.threathen to confiscate their ill-gotten funds they stashed in the US. 3. Threaten to expose secrets (drug use, sex fetishes, corruption) 4. Openly support their competitors through media, financing, espionage, etc) 5. Offer special previlages for jobs in the US (nurses, waiters etc.)

Nima, there are actually THREE political parties that are highly relevant in Taiwan politics. In the Presidential / Legislative elections this year (2024), the DPP, the more "pro-independence" party, retained control of the presidency with 40% of the vote. The other two parties, the KMT (Kuomintang = "Nationalist Chinese") and the PFP (People's First Party) were unable to agree on a shared ticket, with both candidates unwilling to take the subordinate Vice-President role. These two parties, both of which favor a more balanced approach to relations with closer, friendlier relations with China, accounted for 60% of the vote for president. In the Legislative Yuan, the DPP LOST its majority (previously 61 out of 113 seats, an outright majority), and the KMT now have 52 seats, the DPP 51, and the PFP 8 seats. There are two independent legislators who vote with the KMT, and in all legislative procedures since the election, the PFP has voted with the KMT. This gives the "opposition" a firm majority of 52 (KMT) + 8 (PFP) + 2 (independent) = 62 out of 113 seats. President Lai is now a lame duck president, with a hostile majority in the Legislative Yuan against him. This is the current situation in Taiwan. It's clear that the US Ukraine proxy war against Russia, which has cost so many Ukrainian lives, has made a significant impression on the people of Taiwan. They understand that although Sleepy Joe Biden has said 5 times that the US will send troops to defend Taiwan, they will actually do no such thing. This is China's backyard, and the Dong Feng hypersonic missiles in Fujian Province would result in the US getting a black eye or worse in any potential conflict. I think President Xi will be patient, and the people in Taiwan will elect a president more willing to forge closer relations with China.

Phi is a great source for population replacement in Europe, which has a very rapidly declining population. The lowly occupied pews of churches all across Europe can be filled a little with huge immigrations from Phi with its young and humongous population of 120 million and rising. Otherwise, those churches will simply become tourist sites and concert halls... repurposed for other faith or even demolished.

Self-interested human tribalism (scaled-up to the self-interested state) isn’t a reason-based rational phenomenon - it is a Paleo-regressive instinct-based identity-based phenomenon developed through ethnocentrism (“race” and racism), monotheism (any prevailing belief system/unique exceptionalistic origin story), and ultra-nationalism (territoriality), which exerts itself through the in-group/out-group dynamics of tribal instincts with authoritarian characteristics.
