Same truck, same cover, same instal. Great video. I’d suggest a little more time to follow the shims install guide, bulkhead weather strip and the silicone work in specific spots. I also added a splash of silicone WD40 to the lock springs and some automotive grease on the safety lock bar on the cab leaf and a little on the lock bar pegs as it helps it close like butter. Make sure it is a little tight on the onset so the gasket can seal and set. Adjust the clamps to 5-8 ft lbs. Another hint is wear a headlamp so you can see what you are doing if installing in the evening.

Good stuff. I'm hoping diamondback offers a thin rubber mat for inside those bins, to help keep stuff from sliding around and making noise while driving. Though I'm sure I could create something like that myself. If I were designing it I'd rubberize the interior bottom and sides of the bins, not a huge thing, but would be beneficial. Like your idea of keep a small gap at the very front to reach into.

Picked mine up from PittOhio yesterday, gonna install it when finished with this vid. It is actually very light compared to how it looks and what it will do. I wish the lock was more robust. (After watching so many Lock Picking Lawyer videos I've learned to be picky.) very nice video, covered all the fine details, no filler once you got to the actual install, nicely produced. Thanx for your effort. Okay, fully installed, looks reeeeeaaaaal sharp. Speaking of which, take care for factory edges which could lead to nasty cuts. Took my time, hardest part is getting the locking rods to line up. Now I have to wait for a warm day to install the weather strip. Also, it took a minute to figure out how the 13" box gets installed, and remember once you fill it up with knick knacks it will be near impossible to remove alone. I did not tack my box in place. Kinda wish I'd gotten the black one to match the truck but I needed to cut a corner. Hats off to Diamond Back for a quality product.

Just got my diamond back today. I tried opening my tailgate with the cover locked it was actually hard for me to open it. I’m guessing my bed cover is closed real tight. I’m scared it might ruin my bed cover weather strip scrapping in the tailgate. Any recommendations?

I had a Bakflip tunnel cover on my Toyota Tacoma, I find that the diamondback Tonnele cover is more stronger more sturdier and more secure than a Bakflip. Thank you for sharing the information.

Just received and installed mine yesterday. Issue I am having is the front portion of the cover requires me to push down on it to lock close. Also the key to lock it sometimes get stuck. I am sure it has something to do with the rod not fully aligned to the bed rail. Gonna work on it more this weekend. Thanks for the video.. HELPED a lot.

I installed my db cover on my 19 double cab short bed but didn't realize there was a weatherstrip for the bulkhead. Did you end up installing the weatherstrip and silicone sealing it?

How much space is there from the bed to the bottom of the toolbox? Trying to decide between the 8"and 13"

I have a long bed Tacoma too. Can you verify if the cover can be taken apart and put into your back seat if you needed to use your entire truck bed? This is assuming that you were out in the field.

After 5 years my fold a cover started to sag due to water intrusion inside the panel that looks like,some sort of honeycomb mesh that the water cause it to deteriorate. Also all the rubber portion on top, the sun killed that. Called customer service, put on hold forever. Emails to them are never answered. There are better ones,avoid this POS. Nice video, Diamondback is my next choice!
