Probably set them back. I’m a gators fan and it’s tough. Jorgy and Cheetam haven’t had a good series at the same time in a while. Szerlag made decent contact today but he’s been tough this year after really improving in 2021 and 2022. Chadwick has been rough all year too. Team needed the draft

Right. They literally traded Chadwick, for Walgate in hindsight by losing their draft pick. He would have elevated any team he got on.

Jorgy is batting .400+ this year and Cheetam is batting .120 How is it incorrect to say that they haven’t been good at the same time (that mostly being on Cheetam having a down year) Gators have crazy talent and i for one Don’t think their 2020 title was a fluke by any means. Just tough to see a team like this not win when Jorgy and Cheetam are All Stars at worst and MVP candidates when at their best

All of these new D backs players have really good plate discipline. It seems like they have been scoring mostly off of walks over the past 2 serieses (I could be wrong about that but the bases are almost always juiced for them)

Would hate to be a Gators fan. I’m such a huge MLW fan in general, I really never have anything negative to say. But the Gators need to blow it up and start over. The negativity of Jorgi, the garbage ABs from Chadwick, minimal energy from the team as a whole. They just look like a team that doesn’t want to be there, and it’s been pretty noticeable since the start of the season for some reason. Kyle you might need to genuinely sit down with them and ask them if they even want to play, or what they want to do..any Gators series is kind of hard to watch to be completely honest. And again, I absolutely love this league, I look forward to watching every series on Fridays no matter who is playing. Nothing against anyone, just calling it how I see it and maybe some type of moves can be made to get the Gators back into a decent/respectable organization. All love over here guys!! Just trying to help out and give constructive criticism that’s all👌🏼💯

They traded draft pick for Chadwick last year. Their horrible position right now is because of a horrible management decision last season by them. Fault is on them to be honest Chadwick wasn't ever the game changing player that they needed.

Szerlag is pretty much an automatic out...sort of the Gators version of Ryan Kelly. Which sucks because he's the team manager so he ain't going anywhere. They do need someone to bring the fire

Would love to see a team towards the bottom of the standings, adopt a closing pitching role. Seems like teams adapt to Jorgy or Cheetam as the game goes on but could be good in a 2 pitcher per game scenario. We’ve not seen it be too successful so far but it was successful recently when Kratch did it to secure a game 2 victory for the Preds. I just believe if a team went all in on it, it could be successful. I mean gators, what do you have to lose! Clearly it’s not working on the mound right now but I think this could work!

This series had it all. Controversial second game, Chadwick being super salty, some big bombs and AN ERROR BY JIMMY KNORP????? What!?!?!?!? Great job again to Kyle and Tommy on commentary but let's give some credit to Mr. Schultz, he is at every game, keeping score. This man is a great father for supporting his sons, the players and this league.

D-Backs have scary depth. They have to be practicing more than all the other teams in the league because they’re just a level above. Gators aren’t playing terribly but finding ways to lose (ie Game 2). Would’ve liked to see a Jorgenson game ending K, probably would’ve thrown the bat into the parking lot

I’m kind of confused about that runner interference call in game 2. Doesn’t the runner have the “right of way” if he’s in the baseline?

Not on hit balls. Once the fields have had a chance to field it then runner have the right away. But same as in baseball fielding the initial hit, the fielder has the right of way and its on the runner to avoid the fielder.

Seemed like a bad call to me. Idk their exact rules but Jorgensen did not leave the base path to interfere with Knorp. He was just running to third, not his fault the ball was hit there.

@ColdFear22 assuming they are mirroring baseball rules, intent does matter in that case and staying in the lane is not a factor. When the ball is hit it is the runners responsibility to not interfere with the fielders ability to attempt to make a play on the ball. So long as the fielder is not trying to make a play in a way that will intentionally cause contact, the responsibility is on the runner to get out of their way. In the same way that if the hit ball hits the runner they are out, even if they are running in the base path.
