She was my favorite actress, ever since the first time I saw her in The Avengers. Never found another to replace her. No one compares to her.

One of the best actresses we ever had. It’s a pity she considered Emma Peel as one dimensional

I saw this TV series once. Someone said it was a rip-off of Marlo Thomas, in That Girl, I think it was a rip-off of the Mary Tyler Moore show? Either way it was a shame that Hollywood couldn't find something original to do with such a strong talent as Ms. Rigg.

Agree, 100%. There was no imagination in Hollywood and the talents of this beautiful woman were wasted on that show.

Fact -- Patrick Macnee was going to play her boyfriend on this show had it survived. There's a video of the episode they did together floating around here on YT. It's terrible quality though. A hoot for fans of The Avengers.

This interview was difficult. The first several minutes were plugging her as a newly married gal and when they finally got to the series which is all about a bumbling English single woman new to NYC it fell so very flat. The focus on her dog was absurd. At either rate the series was pulled because it failed to get an audience and was too similar to the Mary Tyler Moore show. Thr public also refused to accept Rigg as nothing more than a hot Bond girl and The Avengers ruined in film her beyond the theatre. Which of course was sad but she was literally only able to play glamour bitches really. The first wave feminism was still a thing at this point starting in 1968 and the series annoyingly with her first name like MTMOORE was an unashamed copycat. She was a stylish and intense actress with a wonderful voice and delivery. She played villains incredibly well. RIP.

Orion88 Well that's one point of view which diverges from mine. "The public refused to accept her as nothing more than a etc" Not the way the public sees her in my opinion.
