Caitlin Clark seem to be the biggest rival to Diana Taurasi at the moment.omths ago while in an interview, Taurasi warned Caitlin Clark yelling her she would find it difficult to transition to the WNBA from Women College Basketball. Once more Taurasi seems to be throwing jabs at Caitlin Clark and the other rookies. Asked about her view about the performance of this year's rookies, Taurasi said she doesn't watch preseason games. I think Taurasi licked too much lead paint in her life while pursuing more favorable carpet. There are many great young players coming into the WNBA and I can thank Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes for introducing me to their game.

The fact that this nearly 40 year old woman is still playing at an 'elite' level of basketball must raise the question of valid athletic ability in the WNBA. How many 40 year old men in the NBA are able to compete with the constant influx of youth that exhibit more strength, endurance and agility than them? Can you say Lebron James? Can you say Diana Taurasi? Methinks there is more the whiff of fear than dismissal emanating from Diana.. 🤔

Diana Taurasi sees the WNBA transitioning to where a new influx of players are starting to come into the league beginning with the 2024 WNBA rookie draft class. That trend is going to continue with next year's draft class and beyond. IMO, it sounds like the older WNBA players like Diana Taurasi feel "threatened" by the new generation of players about to come into the WNBA.

I look at the positive side. All this jealousy from old guards is bringing more attention to the league. If more people pay attention because they want to see Taurasi lose to Clark, that's great for the league. I want to thank DT for being the villain in this drama.

Taurasi needs to retire. She is one of the many reasons I just can't watch the league. I only have so much free time. Caitlin is 'refreshing' .... likable. Wait? A WNBA player likable???? This is weird! All of this drama is so dumb, speculated and created by some outlets to get people angry and to increase click bait. They want the narrative to be old vs. young. And somehow people believe all the gossip they hear. I really am rooting for the new WNBA rookies. when the rivalry is actually made by the players it can be entertaining and harmless (sometimes). They want us to think the players actually hate each other which they don't. What did Taurasi specifically say about CC?

Taurasi gave her some motherly advice on what to expect at the WNBA. CC was feeling like a superhero among 18 year olds and that she would meet grown women who have played Basketball for years. She also said it would be difficult for CC to transition from college to pro basketball.
