Lowering Charolette my 1964 C10| Suspension Pt1

In this video we start plucking away at the suspension on Charolette my 64 c10. I have a lot of the parts, and some time to work on it during the week early mornings, so I want to get it all knocked out.

I put a 5.5/6” drop on my 64 long bed. I added a 6 degree shim under the block to correct the pinion angle. No vibration at 70. I also got your tires. I “buffed” them with 80 grit flap wheel to get that gangster wide whites on a budget. Love the patina on yours 👍

@@DickHamm I’m running 235-75-15 all the way around. With a 700r, I’m cruising 70 at 2k rpm. Idk what gear ratio, but I’m pretty sure it’s a stock rear end.

Looking good man! A good friend of mine out in central Cali (I'm in FL) has a 65' (i think lol) C10 that was his dads. Pretty much all original. I'd love to get him to lower it some. Get that low and slow vibe goin. But I don't know how he'd feel about it. Anyhoozle...It's looking sweet!

I have 4.10 gears and a 700r4 in my Camaro and it cruise's just fine with that overdrive 👍

Your Pontiac trans is a bop or chevy? Think the five bolts to the ls only works with the chevy th400. Love the truck! Keep making videos!

Love your Truck, i have a 1963 Chevy C-10 Fleetline looking for some 6 lug Wheels you have any for saleStock would be fine Im in a wheelchair somebody stole my wheels off my truck Im in Wheelchair and have my Truck at my moms and some body needed them more than me all i was waiting for was my tailgate and i was finnaly off to get her licenced but we must prevail and countinue my journey.Subbed.

Yes and no lol it is back east. I had to sell it and it was a few days work short of running with a sbc and a 700r. The dude who has it is super cool we follow each other on insta his name is @jdelgreco
