Stars fan that is staying subbed. Alex G was a helluva goalie and I truly think he solidified his starter spot during the Avs run. I watched him closely make clutch save after clutch save during the Stars/Avs series. I hope he does get his flowers and gets to start next season. Just my opinion on the outside looking in, I think the 3rd/4th lines need some slight retooling. Continued prayers for Val and best of luck during the off-season and see y’all next year, I’m SURE! 👊🏼👍🏼

100% agree with you Shaggy on the Mack captaincy take. He is more of a lead by example person. But in the grand scheme of leading a whole team and all that entails, just not sure Mack needs that extra responsibility and I feel like the burden of the C would 100% interfere with his game. We need him freed up as much as possible so he can play his game. I also agree with Chris’s take on McDavid. Honestly, I would love for him to get his first cup. Then we could all stop talking about it 😂

Honestly, I think Georgiev had helped his cause a starter in the last 2 years. It would be best to see what Avs got up toward the next trade deadline. Avs shouldn't rush Annunen, 2 yr window should help. Plus, it will help to see where Landy and Val are in the picture. You never know, Georgiev might sign an affordable 2 yr extension, and they might be a good 1A and 1B going forward.

The Avs already had a discussion with the players prior to last season and they all admitted that Landeskog is the man to wear the C and it wouldn't feel right if it was stripped from his jersey for another player at any point of his absence. Tbh that's a very loyal hockey team

I love Georgie, hes my second favorite Avs goalie ever but I dont think hes good enough to win a cup. Kuemper was great in 22 and Georgie is going to have to be better than great because he's not going to have the depth help in front of him. Whether it's defense or goaltending whatever you need a sub 2.40 GAA in a playoff run to get it done. I say keep him and grow Annunen and hope he can become that goalie for us. Overall I'm happy about how this team is set for the next few years. I'm rooting for Duchene to get the cup so I'm all on board rooting for Dallas now especially against McDavid, I enjoy watching McDrai fail miserably every year

I'm sorry Mr. Micieli, but I have to agree with @shaggyvonDoom. The conversation was all about McDavid even when the playoffs began. You would have sworn Edmonton was the only team in the west according to TNT😒😒 I HAVE ZERO DOG IN THIS FIGHT... but I would like Florida and Dallas... Florida hoisting the cup. I do get some satisfaction that Stanley hasn't been back to Canada in a long time😁😁

im in alberta and i dont care who wins just not the oilers lol dont even want em in the final , oilers fans are the worst here , every damm year is our year were gonna win it were the best lol like all year theres nothing better than the nights where avs win and oilers lose on the same night :P

I wouldn't mind Toews as the captain. He was definitely calling people out this year, but He also seems to motivate those around him. I love MacKinnon, but he is not necessarily a motivator. I've heard other players in interviews talk about how "harsh" Nate is with the team and his demands for perfection. Not sure that's what everyone on the team needs or would respond to in a positive way.

Out of the 4 remaining teams ill say rangers first. Because why not. Dallas second because winning makes players more expensive so they may get priced out and crash next year. Edmonton 3rd as for whatever reason i just enjoy watching them lose. Not sure why but i do. 4th would be the panthers as tampa bay was at the top not so long ago. And a state being in the SC finals 4 and now possibly 5 years in a row is a lot of success.

I'll start with the most important answer Purple lightsaber I'd love to see McDavid win a cup. Yes oilers fans can be obnoxious, what fan base isn't. People from edmonton love watching the avs play. Might have something to do with the old division rivalry before moving to central. It'd be fun to see this fan base celebrate a win after that long drought. Plus I live close to edmonton. The only thing that would make sense to trade rantennan is to add some good depth, otherwise why, hes good. bad playoff performance yes, credit to Dallas and their stellar defense. Winnepeg also defense focused team.

YES it would bring his game down... Mackinnon said he doesn't want the pressure of the C. As Kyle said he doesn't want the distraction/ added thing. Just wants to play the game. Either Makar or TOews hands down. Like Mack said sometimes he doesn't like playing at home cause the croud and the pressure. Just like of yo put the c on him he has that every night.

I believe a team captain must possess maturity, leadership on and off the ice, and the ability to motivate. With that in mind, Toews is the most logical player IMO.

100% agreed with putting the "C" on Toews. MacKinnon behaves like a child, to Shaggy's point. After Toews, I would put it on Cale. MacKinnon is a boss, but Cale is once in a generation player.

Of the remaining four my vote goes to "either of the East teams." My cousin loves the Rangers so I'll lean toward them, though NY will be insufferably smug if they win because New York Is So Much Better Than Everywhere Else on Earth. Florida has never won so I can root for them too. I am a bad person for wanting McDavid to never win a Cup, or at least be tormented a little longer lol. Never Dallas. Cannot root for a division rival and I want Duchene to have the Corey Perry effect on every Cup-contending team he switches to. 😅 Georgiev was awesome during the playoffs which is what you want, right? Who cares if you're the best regular season goalie if you can't step it up when it matters? He needs a backup that can relieve his load and the team to play good defense in front of him. The goalie is the last line of defense, not the ONLY line of defense. He was hung out to dry about ten thousand times this season.

Kyke you are spot on about everything. Mcdavid winning a cup is exactly what you said it is Chris is so close minded man... And with the Cpt... Dude Mackinnon is NOT Capt material at all. Plus he already has said he doesn't want it. Chris you need to start listening to Kyle a little more man. He has some good points and you just kinda discredit and gloss over.

Those early goals he gave up all series did not help any but his defense in front of him didn't help his cause either. I hope they get bigger and meaner throughout the offseason

I agree with Kyle. I can not cheer for McDavid and the Oilers, I like to see them try and fail. I'm sick of all the McJesus talk and them winning will only make that annoyance worse.

if stage 3 is suspended without pay for 6 months id have to imagine he val messes up again and hits stage 4 his contract is null and void at that point , like i said before im pretty sure only theo fleury has hit all the stages and i cant remember how that went for his contract ,cause if he does hit stage 4 how can u keep punishing a team for a repeat offender at that point ,i thought there was 6 stages but i guess theres only 4 now hmmm weird

offense carried georgie in the reg season , and georgie carried the team in the playoffs and we all kno u dont win the cup in the reg season .
