Billy , you were so close to Elvis you should be the go- to person for anything on Elvis, especially for a movie , you should of been Baz's right hand man..I wished they had shown his fun side and kindness in movie and his laugh. I know all about double cousins..in my family even though it may sound strange it isn't and just happened naturally.. they all went to church together and yes a normal Baptist Church and 3 brothers married 3 sisters so we are all double 1st cousins and of the same bloodline on both sides of our family.. things didn't start getting watered down until the cousins started marrying and having children but even then they all pretty much look alike and now the real 1st cousins so to speak have started to have children but the DNA is strong..lol.. and no there isn't any incest family with family or anything like that for those of you that may not understand. js

Thank you for sharing these great memories. I get what your saying that spirit of "family," was not in that house the day Elvis left and went to heaven. Like our house was not that same after my grandpa died, was year or two later we ended up moving out the house because that "Spirit of Family." Was not there for us anymore.

Just got back from Graceland last night. Second time this year. The Christmas lights and decorations were beautiful. The curtains inside had been changed to red and Christmas trees, gifts and poinsettias were gorgeous.

I was wondering if ya'll had a favorite song that you loved to watch Elvis perform on stage. I could never pick a favorite song cause they're pretty much all my favorite. Love hearing about your time at Graceland. It’s so sad to see what the Whitehaven area has become. I know that was a thriving area in the 60s-70s. But sadly I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around outside near Graceland now. I’ve lived in Memphis my whole life (born 1981), and I just wish I knew what it was like in that area of Memphis back then. Thank you for sharing.

He had to be. I think about them and enjoy it a lot about them to when they talk about Elvis or others. They remind me of how our family used to say nice things around others. When we were with our closest family we might laugh or say more .
