When you get chickens, do like grandpa and build their pens with same fencing and cover their area and run with netting. It will help greatly for keeping animals out!

If you put a door on the new shed for Spruce, you could shut him in the shed at night and leave the gate open for Herc protection.

Kyle please don't feel like you have to be apologetic to us for not getting what you think needs getting done. I hope many can understand the commitment it takes raising a bottle baby. I loved this video and loved watching Spruce playing with his brothers. He is so cute and Mario just lets him push knowing he is a baby. Herc loves Spruce you can tell. You guys look so cute taking care of him also and the cuddles. So sweet.

You both keep the goat pen pretty clean, it can't stink that bad. You have the cleanest yard out of the families I watch! I think the other goats realize Spruce is a baby and give him the benefit of doubt.

You guys have accomplished so much in just a years time. Mario is doing really good with Spruce. Being a buck, they have a tendency to become overbearing & so far, he's not showing any of that. You're doing a great job with all of the animals!

Spruce will begin acting "manly" and assertive when his testosterone engages at about 8-12 weeks. I currently have 4 bucklings aged 8-12 weeks and they are starting to feel their 'oats' now. It's not annoying now, just cute. In two months, I'm sure the cuteness will wear off rather quickly.

Dang if that little Spruce isn't just the cutest thing. Him going nose to nose with Mario was just adorable. Mario is getting much better with him. All of the animals are settling in. I just love the way Uncle Herc watches out so carefully over the little guy & is usually not too far away from wherever he is. Suggestion, couldn't you put the little one in the Spruce hut while you get a few things done? Thus giving him some time to adjust to being in that environment🤔 Just an idea is all. & Shannon, I totally get the whole Matchey Matchey thing! It's all gotta match 😆😆

OMG, Spruce trying to butt heads with Mario like he's a big boy! Spruce is being tuff today! Probably not being able to smell the goat pen is a blessing. I had Covid in 2020 & I still don't have my sense of smell like it was. The goats all seem to be getting along fairly well for now & I hope it continues..

Spruce is cutest and the most entertaining goat I’ve ever seen! I have really enjoyed watching him grow. He’s so fearless. Looks like the older goats are accepting him a lot better. You guys are doing such an awesome job developing your property! I love how you really think/ plan your use of space, and that you do quality, not half a#$ work on your buildings! It is fun to watch, (I have always loved out door work, and artfully developing property), side story, I was at a friend's home out working in their back yard doing some landscaping, the wife's sister was visiting and looked out at the back yard and asked her sister, "who is the old lady working in your back yard?", my friend replied, "she's a friend that lives in an apartment and misses working in a yard, and asked if she could work on our's for free!" Yep, I just love the work! 😅

Herc’s tail is so funny when he wags it hard. The tip seems to flop in a different direction than the rest of his tail and he looks like he is directing musi! 🎼❤

That was the sweetest thing I have ever seen a big goat do for a baby kid. Mario showed nothing but kindness to Spruce. When Spruce was head-butting Mario, then started pawing at him. I think that was Spruce's way of saying to Mario ": I double dog dare you to get on the table" Spruce did not like the results!😂😂❤❤

Mario is doing amazing with Spruce I loved how he stood there and tolerated Spruces head-butting him. Spruces really coming into his own really showing how big he's getting he's growing so fast. It seems like Spruce should be older than 4 weeks. Spruce is definitely getting to be a little daredevil just like his daddy Bruce, I love it. Mario is so patient with Spruce, almost encouraging him to practice head butts, to teach him as he grows up. Almost a perfect dad, playing gentle with his own son. Luigi, is less inclined to take Spruce challenges, and goes to return the play, like an older brother with, to him, naughty younger brother, and making it rough play. Spruce remains the ever playful, hopping, active little character, always seeking fun and attention from all around. Nice seeing very calm meal time of all four adult goats. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Love watching this channel so much you guys are awesome with your little farm ,,,mario letting spruce push horns melted my heart that was so cute,,,,as for those coyotes never under estimate them & the power of a large amount of them in a team pack they can bring down large animals ,,,I'm not sure how to keep safe from them I think they are beautiful animals but if I heard them all around me I'd be so scared,,il keep all of you in my prayers ❤😊

That little Spruce is just so stinking cute. You give your animals their very best life and you are living yours as well. While he’s little it’s most enjoyable watching him frolicking everywhere. That phase will pass soon enough and time to keep on your projects will come.

Spruce head butting Mario is so cute. I have seen on other channels that the coyote and wild hog issues are bad this year. Get a premier portable fence for the chickens 🐔 . You can easily move it as your needs dictate. ❤️

I am thinking that it might be a good idea to introduce Herc to a couple of baby chickens to start with and teach him that they are a part of the family. Who knows, he may take to them and be their protector.

You need either a donkey or llama to help Herc guard the herd. Maybe an electric fence like Premo fencing around Spruce area.

Spruce is so adorable! And he is starting to fit in with the big goats. The small shelter and pen will have other uses as well. When your girls kid out, it would be a good place for the mama's with new kids to be kept separate for a few days so they can bond with their babies. 💖💖💖
