I know you have a bit of problem distinguishing the colors Steve. So I wanted to help you out by naming them for you... 1. Silver 2. Red 3. Purple 4. Blue 5. Background blue 6. Green 7. Gold Now you can write the colors on your bottles. I use these mixed in clear for helping achieve really cool effects in my galaxies. They show up really well poured over the black resin. Ok, thanks so much! 😊

@catherinekamenir2574 Steve is color blind so I was letting him know the correct colors. I think when he ordered them, they were unmarked. They were like a generic brand. Probably came from China. They often don't include instructions on things too. I hope I answered your question because I wasn't exactly sure what you were asking. 😊

Hi Steve😊 I have used these but a lil different than you. I put a thin layer of clear resin on my mold, let dry n then put the powder on top of that and then poured black or white colored resin over that. And the powders looked incredible 😮❤ gave a lot of depth to the pieces. Best of luck to ya😎🙃

1. Silver / cool white 2. Fuchsia / Red 3. Purple 4. Blue 5. Blue (normal mica) 6. Green 7. Yellow / golden They really do stand out against the black. I'm glad you made a new test, so you'll be able to use them. I personally like the purple (3) best, but they all look nice this way. The company who sells these is really harming their business by not clarifying what they're selling.

Hi Steve, I used black nail varnish n painted a lil patch on each lid, once dry I applied a small amount from each pot to the black patch, this allows u to identify quickly which colour each powder creates. I hope this helps 😊

I have a similar set. They don't have a label and didn't come with paperwork. I have learned that different companies use these terms interchangeably: interference (most common), magical, aurora, and color shift. You might want to try mixing them in black resin (as opposed to powdering the mold) 😊.

I've always wondered what the "interference" part refers to? Interfere what? thank you for sharing the result of your test. black definitely makes the color pop

Me too, not sure if it means Chameleon, tho I DO see the way they work. I have some like that from Resin Pro, different names but they all (6) look pretty much the same before and after use!

Interference means it works by refracting (interfering with) light, as opposed to pigments which absorb light.

Hi Steve. I am writing from NZ. I have learned heaps from watching your videos as well as some other people. Thank you very much for posting this video. I have some colours which I now think may be interference colours. I will definitely test them at a later date. I got them from Temu. Where I live resin is very expensive and I have also contacted JDiction and Just Resin to see if they deliver to New Zealand but they do not so I am left buying resin from Temu which is my cheapest option at the moment as craft stores here charge and arm and a leg for very small amounts. Thank you for all your videos. You are an amazing person and I love how you explain step by step what you do. It makes it easy to learn and gives you courage for when you want to try new thing but are unsure.

Those can also be added to any color mica, just a bit, to add a bit of colored shine. They are also great on a black background in the acrylic pouring you’ve been doing. Or, I’ll qualify by saying they should be. I don’t know the quality of those, so get a couple of better quality interference powders (called Ghost colors, too). If mixing the powder for acrylic pouring, mix it with a bit of varnish first. Just a bit to get it liquid.

Not 100% but I think interference powders work nest on molds that have textures. Like jewelry or crystal molds or bumpy or waves molds. The texture adds to the look because the colors sparkle (not sure if that's exactly the right word) or look different. But yes, dark background color is a must!

Hey Steve.. I had commented on the 1st video you used these and called them ghost pigments, that's how they were originally sold/named years ago when they came out. Im the one who told you bout the black background.. try a actual makeup brush they will look even better

Steve, absolutely love your videos. But I have noticed that you are using different resins since your last video recommending what resin to use for what projects. Would love it if you would make an updated video on what resins you are currently using and maybe what pigments, mica powders, alcohol inks, etc. so that those of use still in the research stage can see what your opinions are. Thank you.

So, I get what you're trying to do, but it's not working like interference colors should. I'll suppose that's because you're colorblind and may not be able to see the interference shifts as they should look. Honestly, in all of these examples, I see no interference shifts that I expect to see. Interference colors should move from one color to another, either adjacent or opposite on the color wheel, and I'm not seeing that. What I'm seeing is shimmer, which is great, but no interference shift.
