You might want to move Maverick out of the way like when your pulling that engine motor string. Just for those kind of things you do so Maverick's face doesn't get injured.😮😊

I would defiantly replace the impeller, it will be dried up and loose it’s fins. Also check the discharge line to make sure it is not plugged. I had a spider nest plug one of mine. New spark plug would help, you have spark from the coil or it would not fire, having said that it may be weak. I am sure with a little TLC you will get it running, just go easy on the starting fluid, best way to ruin an engine.

You should have replaced the gasket in the carb, reseating and old gasket rarely works unless you packed it with something. ❤❤

You might need a new recoil for the engine to the boat. A good carb cleaning and new fuel filter would help too to reduce carbon deposits.

Weather stripping is not door trim. You will need to replace it if you want to help seal the door against heat and cold. Also, it will help seal out insects. Normally attached Weather stripping is held in a groove and a few screws help keep it locked in place. You will need to remove the door from the door case to inspect and/or replace. It’s maintenance and an often overlooked source of insect entry and outside air infiltration.

Lots of carb buildup in that motor. It's got a ways to go before getting it running. Runs somewhat but still there's something that is still off. Maybe fuel pump. Crandell, don't have Maverick so close to that boat motor if something were to go wrong he could seriously get hurt. Good luck 🍀. Needs a bit more work. I'm sure you're going to be a bit sore tonight putting that rope.

That boats doesn’t have a drain plug in the back that screws on and off..I know some do to keep you from collecting water when it sits?

Ok, I rewatched the whole video again, so now I’m certain that it could be either of these issues: worn piston rings, valve seal issues, blown head gaskets, PCV crankcase malfunctioning, or changing the oil or that it’s overfilled with oil that it’s causing a flooding issue.

Maybe that engine has been in the lake. To get some dirt in it, dumped

You need to hook water to see if impeller works
