Did Johnny Thunder Fight For The British Empire Against The Nazis?
If we look at the vehicles that the minifigures use, they always fly on planes that have propellors not jet engines. A lot of these planes are from world war 1 but they are able to use them because the war is already over. They also use other old fashioned transport methods like old cars, half tracks, boats and blimps. All of which were first used in world war 1 but not used in world war 2. So this puts the adventurers theme somewhere between during the 1930s. So therefore Barron von Barron or Sam Sinister is probably a prominent Nazi figure and also dresses like one.
So why is he after Johnny Thunder? Because Johnny Thunder who was also known as Sam Grant is an Australian explorer working for the British Empire. He visited countries like India, China, South America, Nepal, Egypt, all of which are countries that used to be part of the British empire or are an interest to the empire. Johnny was able to travel to all of these countries thanks to funding from the British Archaelogical Society through Dr Kilroy. Sam Sinister is part of a Nazi program to steal treasures and secrets from the British.
But what happened to him. As we know the adventures theme has been discontinued beause of the second world war. After this nothing is known about Barron von Barron. It is believed that he fled from Germany to Denmark to escape Harry Cane, an ex-pilot who is now a CIA agent. Barron von Barron most likely made his way to Billund, Denmark where he hid in waiting and got a job in building lego city. Barron Von Barron changed his name to hide his connection to Hitler, and his descendants are currently living in Lego City.
