D.M. Murdock/Acharya S speaks with Aeon Byte radio host Miguel Conner about her book "Did Moses Exist?" DidMosesExist.com
aeonbytegnosticradio.com
Miguel's writeup: Moses is widely considered a main patriarch for the Abrahamic religions. Although many today regard his existence as suspect, few understand the powerful mythological resonance of the Moses figure. Moses is actually a syncretic and composite godman reaching into many ancient cultures and faiths. He is part sun-god, part lawgiver archetype, and plenty hero of a thousand faces. We enter the Myth of Moses in order to discover the censored wisdom of ancient Gnosis and the fury of an angry volcanic deity that has ruled the West for thousands of years.

God pretty much trolled the Israelites by misleading them in all directions for 40 years. No wonder the people rebelled... they really suspected something was afoot, but they never figured out exactly what it was.

@@MrEmpireBuilder0000 Actually, I read it and God told them exactly what he was doing to them the first time they were at the border of the "promised land". Before the 40 years in the wilderness. That's right; they knew exactly where their destination was the entire time. They were all being punished for their lack of faith. This is, of course, within the story.

Makes we want to go back and read WHO WAS MOSES all over again and the other ones too. Acharya we need you back to guide us in this dismal lying deceitful time of COVID-19. Please come back. Wow, I watched this again (and nowadays one can see subtitles and the illustrations are so beautiful, the imagery etc thanks to you Miguel) and my original comment (see below) is still valid and alive. In these times of horror (nuclear war etc) we need you Acharya S. Your son Jason is I'm sure older now since your passing in 2015 and I hope to um... Gawd he continues your research is some way, shape or form! I have read all her books and yes DID MOSES EXIST. As this video was playing I pulled it out and looked at the multiple times I dog-eared pages, color coded lines, underlined stuff, put in my 2 cent remarks. And I remember knowing Acharya, how she was not only attacked by devout Christians (especially the "Bible Thumpers") but also by die-hard Atheists... I also have all 6 of her marvelous Calendar's. My thoughts Russia (the way under-dog) is Eastern Orthodox Christian with their Pope, Bishop Kriel and the (top-dogs) the Zionist Ashkenazim Jewish, Green Culture, Klaus Schwab, EU, NATO and the US/UK Western culture, weapons manufacturers Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrup Grumman, General Dynamics, Boeing, Halliburton etc and the other greedy warmongers etc etc...And now with "Christmas Day" folk touting "my Christianity is better than your Russian Christianity" and "My belief is superior to yours" therefore my Abrahamic Faith WILL rule...John Lennon's song IMAGINE with his saying "And no Religion too" says it best. I like George Carlins's - Religion thing a lot. George knew the value of Agricultural Astro-Theology. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNqgY7h_yNDenGw.html George Carlin - Stand Up About Religion Acharya's passing on "Christmas Day" sort of goes back to her open-minded Presbyterian parents and her Psychologist Dad who would take her to Greece for her Archaeological sojourns. Just sayin'

Why Moses in not mentioned on the Egyptian records?...At least, he should have been mentioned in other sources and he was not. For someone who stirred up an entire city and becoming such a pest, to local authorities, there should have been written records of what the Pharoah thought about him, don't you think?
@1rayw
@1rayw 8 жыл бұрын
+Miguel Conesa Osuna Not so, Moses was born of an Egyptian father and a Hebrew mother, the name he carried leads right into the Egyption royal household. The Pharaohs at the time were all followers of the Ibis God "Thoth" and the Pharaohs were named Thoth-Moses. It becomes obvious that Moses was born into the Harem of ThothMoses 1-2 or 3 [probably 2]. Many of the royals fought among each other for the right to take the throne and Moses perhaps killed a rival. On his return to Egypt it is likely that he would have been welcomed back and perhaps then offereed offered a place in Canaan as a buffer for Egypt. This would have been because of the mess made by the tsunami's caused by Santorini exploding in 1450bc. The Hebrews inhabited the western side of the Nile delta and after the devastation, Moses was perhaps asked to lead his people back to Canaan. Egypt was in a turmoil with the tsunami and then the Pharaoh Aknenaton and so no, not much would have been recorded, the Hebrews seem to have covered that to their liking.

The Myth of the Israelite Lawgiver, page 9, quote from Dr. Inman www.amazon.com/Moses-Exist-Myth-Israelite-Lawgiver/dp/0979963184/thruthbeknownfoun Raymond, perhaps you should actually read the book for which this video is for? The book is full of primary sources and highly respected scholar commentary on them demonstrating that there exists no credible evidence for Moses (or many other biblical characters including Jesus) or the exodus etc. as described in the bible. The tsunami and volcanoes are discussed as well as Hebrew origins. It is the most comprehensive book on the subject to date. ; )

Yet he's apparently such an incredible designer that he gives Noah instructions to build a boat with two of every animal (or seven of the clean ones dependent what bit you read). could you imagine such an overloaded boat? With one fuckin window. That, in anyones language does not constitute good design. Any imbecile could improve on that design.All knowing indeed!!!

rationalmartian Oh, good grief. The answer to all that is so simple and obvious: God magickally shrunk the animals so they would all fit on the boat; he held the boat together on the high seas with magic duct tape; he fed the animals with left over manna he had made for Moses and had in cold storage at the south pole; and he flew the animals on magic flying carpets to their far-flung habitats when the flood was over. (I'm not quite sure about the magic carpets, though. That's more of an Islamic thing. But I suppose he could borrow some flying carpets from his cousin Allah if he needed to. I mean, the two guys have always gotten along so well...)

“The character of Moses, as stated in the Bible, is the most horrid that can be imagined. If those accounts be true, he was the wretch that first began and carried on wars on the score or on the pretence of religion; and under that mask, or that infatuation, committed the most unexampled atrocities that are to be found in the history of any nation. Of which I will state only one instance: When the Jewish army returned from one of their plundering and murdering excursions, the account goes on as follows (Numbers xxxi. 13): 'And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp; and Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle; and Moses said unto them, 'Have ye saved all the women alive?' behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord. Now therefore, 'kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known a man by lying with him; but all the women- children that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for Yourselves.' Among the detestable villains that in any period of the world have disgraced the name of man, it is impossible to find a greater than Moses, if this account be true. Here is an order to butcher the boys, to massacre the mothers, and debauch the daughters. Let any mother put herself in the situation of those mothers, one child murdered, another destined to violation, and herself in the hands of an executioner: let any daughter put herself in the situation of those daughters, destined as a prey to the murderers of a mother and a brother, and what will be their feelings? In short, the matters contained in this chapter, as well as in many other parts of the Bible, are too horrid for humanity to read, or for decency to hear.” ― Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason

I understand and am persuaded that Moses was borrowed from other cultures. I guess I will have to read the book. I am very excited to read it. When I think about other Hebrew heroes -- Noah -- again understanding that the Epic of Gilgamesh is most likely the origin of that story. For Noah I don't think there is much story left about him if you took out all of the unbelievable stuff. For Jesus I am really a lot more on the fence because of the letters from Paul that originated so close to Jesus's crucifixion. This compelling interview is really starting to move me in a different direction though. I am excited to read the books.

Egypt is in Black Africa. The term middle east is a North Africa. THere were Egyptian settlements there also. Its in the artifacts. Until Alexander the Greek invaded Egypt it was all Black. Foreigners were not allowed into the Priesthood. So to create a story a whole historical world lie was created including Christianity. Caucasians dont have much culture history and language beyond 6000 years. Plato , Homer and Aristotle were created to support this lie along with others. Its about a group of people with a Xenophobic war like society with no culture on the level that other cultures had. They stole looted assimilated other cultures and re wrote history to fit their narrative. Once the world was dominated and enslaved mentally and physically then the groups who carried the esoteric high knowledge devised banking systems and a group of laws to enslave not ony their own people butthe entire planet. Other Caucasians are still xenophobic because if they have sex with people of color their groups skin color will not exist making them like Steph Currys of the world.

Wonderfull discussion. Thanks to Acharya we have a first rate forensic investigation of these historical era. I would encourage everyone to understand the fact that humanity had no understanding of the natural world, the physiological world, the pshchological world. We as a species only learned about the 3 big atomic particles (Protons, Neutrons, Electrons) during the last century. Before that, there were ideas (Greek) but most of it was magical. If all of these Mythical misguided ideas about the world were not so misguided, we could almost admire the human desire to create explanations (Disney). It you think of the impact of a seizure (visions, tonic clonic contractions), viral and parsitic infections causing devastation in a population. All of the laws in Deutoronomy point to these influences. Prohibition against swine is due to Cistecercosis larval infection of the brain, causing focal seizures and tumor like manifestations leading to death. Viral and Fungal encephalitis would have the same mental manifestations, even dehydration (Mythical Jesus, and any person in the desert after 3 days without water, start hallucinating). I hope for a day when historical education will encompass all of this rich content. Acharya deciphers this material as Richard Leaky, Richard Dawkins, Steven Gould, Charles Darwin did in the biological world, not to mention Copernicus, Gallileo, and all of modern physics. It will take a concerted effor to unseat these ministers of mental slavery. They have too much at stake, tax free corporations that own parking lots, and deduct these prime DOWN TOWN properties, as charitable holdings. How to convince brainwashed humans, to give up delusional comforts? This is the challenge. I totally agree with Acharya, everyone should be livid, I mean bloody ..... MAD, to have been lied to, mislead, exploited, abused, condemed, and imprisoned in the name of savage mythological teachings. Great program, Saxon Borden

+LoTech Revolt I'm not particularly proud of us being the milking cow of that Ottoman Empire which in the end were that savage to commit the genocide against us under their Jewish leaders' commands. I met couple of guys who told me nice words regarding us being the first Christian nation in the world, but that's not a particular source of pride for me either! I am particularly proud that Armenia was the cradle of civilization and that all sorts of art and architecture originated in Armenia. And yes, you mentioned correctly that we are "unrecognized". For instance in this huge work done by Murdock, she states different names like Turkey, Eastern Turkey, Iran, Persia, etc. even though she knows the fact that these entities didn't exist back in the dates she's talking, yet she intentionally or unintentionally bypasses the correct term "Armenia" or "Armenian highlands". It's a shame that such a scholar, with this much knowledge of different languages fails to describe the truth as it is. May I ask you where you're from originally?

Moses and his followers were chased out of Egypt by Horemheb in about 1320-30bc. This happened about 120 years after the originl Exodus in 1450bc.

However other cultures like the Assyrians, Babylonians and Romans have recorded Israel as being an historic people. These cultures reached back near the time of Moses in their recordings. It seems interesting that the Israelites would have made up a story during these ancient times when really when they were sacked by foreign cultures their memory of past events could not have been that separated by time so some knowledge of events must have remained with Israel's collective memory. As well the Talmud is an Oral tradition which is said to begin in the time of Moses and is a witness to the events to shape Israeli culture. Other cultures that have an Oral tradition most researchers accept this tradition as being factual yet in the case of Israel it seems to be dismissed. Anyhow you have massive gaps in your research. In addition they found Hebrew inscriptions on the other side of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia which give credence to the Exodus.

Did the Egyptian pharaoh hate Moses enough to follow hundreds of thousand of israelites through the desert for 40 years, picking up every broken pottery shard, every piece of discarded clothing, every last human or animal bone, and every last bowel movement to complete his quest of erasing Moses from history? If you even listened to this interview, you might perhaps of noticed that the fact Egypt never had any record of those events is barely even scratching the surface of the issue. Perhaps you'd next like to describe Pharaoh's wacky laboratory where he invented a time machine to go back in time and retell the Moses story in multiple other neighboring cultures long before it happened?

Rebuttal to Historian and Christian, Dr. Chris Forbes truthbeknown.com/chrisforbeszeitgeist.html "The only definite account of his life and teachings is contained in the four Gospels of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. All other historical records of the time are silent about him. I don't know whether it was I or someone before me, who thought of it first? The big puzzling aspect of the Exodus is that Moses messed it up. WTH did he not take the Coastal route to Jerusalem? I am most certain that the route was travelled by people of that day. Phoenician were sailing along that route millenia before Moses trading with Egypt, North Africa. They had a big station in Malta. How come God did not guide his chosen people? The other part was that the multitude of people with women and children outran the Chariots? Were Egyptians really that stupid?

Even if Moses did exist, I don't think it would be easy to track him down 4000 years later refering to a couple of ancient writings (or the lack thereof). Why? Forget Moses, I cannot even track down my great grand parents who lived about 100 years ago. So i think all such books fit the genre of 'conspiracies', which we have no dearth of. And if they do succeed, they're helful for none but the authors, who smile their way to the bank leaving behind the dimwits who fell for their theories and who continue to discuss them for ages as if they were confirmed fact.

She said that she found 52 lawgivers and mentioned Gilgamesh, Sargon, Dionysus and many more that have been syncretized into the Moses myth. If you're really interested, as I was, get the book. I did. It's the book to challenge on this subject right now and unless someone can prove it wrong - very unlikely, it will stand as conclusive.

Hercules2345 But she doesn't conclusively pinpoint who he exactly was. I have read other literature that he represented a certain priesthood known as the Levi priest hood in Ancient Egypt. The bible claims it was slavery even though that never occurred. Something happened in those times were a group of people wanted to be free from the Egyptian society. So the priesthood summoned some deity to save them. Read about hermetic philosophy. books such as The secret Science and stellar man are good starts.

Much of all religions are anthropomorphisms of natural phenomena that possess great narratives that ideally direct a person into an ethical way of living. Sadly, much of the great myths end up becoming fear-based mind-control (religion) co-opted by governing bodies, whether one calls them Archons, deities, religious intercessors (bishops, the pope), etc. I love Gnostic channels because they understand that it is self-evident that we all have the divine spark and the journey is knowing oneself, which will lead you to God, the All, the Cosmic force, or whatever you want to call it.
