Have visited this temple during my Odisha tour and it was a memorable one.. Many mysteries to be unfolded. The art and culture of Odisha has developed around the Jagannath temple and Konark temple and had also got many Carnatic influences due to the control of rulers from South. But very gracefully the Odias adapted these influences and stood up beautifully as an original in their art and have preserved it till date. Jay Jagannath! ❤

I don't know if u know or not but Dharmpad sacrificed his life at the age of 12 because not a single worker had the power to establish the third magnet and the person who will put the third magnet had to sacrifice it's life Otherwise, great story and I m felling proud that someone is talking about odisha scriptures!!

When Narsimha Deva ordered 1200 laborers to build the temple , they worked hard for 12 years, but they were unable to establish the third magnet. That's when Dharmpad came into play, he established the third magnet and sacrificed his life by drowning himself in Chandrabhaga, this story is full of bravery of a very young boy which shows how brave Indians are

Konark have many mysterious storys... Konark is connected with the numerology number 12 ... Samba cursed in the age of 12 , worshipped to Surya dev for 12 years... Narsimha dev appointed 1200 workers, konark completed in 12 years time period , 12 types Ratna's used in That Suryadev Ideol , Konark established on 12 wheels n 12 years old Dharmapad sacrifices his life to save 1200 workers ... try to discover that story...

First of all it's not Orissa, it's Odisha. And not the entire konark temple, but the murti of surya dev thay used to fly because of the magnet on the top of the actual temple. The temple that is present now is very small and it's not the exact temple.. It's just the natamandir.. I think you know about it. But just forgot it....

To commemorate the healing power of the sun, Saamb dashmi ritual and prayers are offered to the Sun god on this day. Also on the Maagh saptami tithi the chandrabhaga beach is overcrowded. This is the place where saamb offered prayers to Sun to get rid of leprosy for 12 years.

You missed a point that Britishers also destroyed that temple. There was a magnet on the top of that temple, due to which the ships going from that side collided with it and broke.That's why they removed that magnet.

Stories are ok. But you guys are missing big things. You missed points on the level of planning, site selection, foundation, detailed architecture, material selection, geology, stone selection, mines identification, logistics, manpower planning, iron metallurgy or material science, knowledge of seasons, solar positions, astronomical calculations, a story detailed on stones, tools used, calculations and blueprints, message for public on stones, spiritual aspects, etc. All these fine points are missing in your video. If you detail it out it's just beyond human capabilities.

1:42 A minor fact check, Saambh was tricked by Narada Muni so that Shri Krishna would give him this curse. Kyunki Saambh natkhat thhe, woh gopiton ke sang nadi mein snaan karne gaye thhe. Yeh baat Narad ji ne Shri Krishna ko bata di. Yeh jaankar ki unka putra uske maa saman ki ayu ki ladkiyon ke saath raaslila kar rahe hai, unko yeh shraap mila. He is not a Deva, as he had no parents, unlike Sri Rama and Parshurama. So how could his non-existent mother ask anyone to build another temple for Lord Sun? Can you elaborate? Are you confusing Lord Narasimha with Lord Parshurama, Lord Rama, or Lord Krishna, who were born from mothers? Please refrain from misleading people with false information about Almighty Lord Narasimha.

Hi, Odia girl here. Thank you for covering Konark temple. Odisha is full of many such beautiful temples, that were destroyed by Kala Pahada. You will see beautiful stone temples and sculptures but their faces destroyed by him. Secondly the 12 Year old boy Dharmapada. Completion of Konarka temple took 12 years, by 1200 craftsman under chief craftsman Bishu Maharana. But even after several tries they were not able to put the Mundi(Top of the temple). Everytime the Mundi broke. So Dharmapada, constructed this temple top in single night. But if the word were to spread all the 1200 craftsman would've been killed by the king for their incompetence in front of a small kid. So Dharmapada jumped from the same river to Chandrabhaga Nadi and sacrified his life to save those men. ❤❤🙏

I have been brought up in Cuttack, Odisha. I have visited this temple so many times. Have learnt many stories about its making and destruction. But your findings is making us think all about it again. The Britishers sealed the main entrance and told many false stories about it. Some people say its a shapit temple and all . But your research will definitely make all to think again and again. Thank u for this video.

I highly doubt you being an odia . The British found the temple in Ruins ; The original temple half gone , the temple today is standing still because they did some restoration and decided to fill sand inside cause it's inside was not in a good shape . They felt the rocks were gonna fall sooner or later . So to support this masterpiece they filled it's insides with sand .

Our humble opinion is that these monuments have survived till date and that is an honour for us all. Our wailing over the destruction of many such monuments which might have existed in the past (and suffered the invasional attacks) and which might have been precursors to today's technologies, is going to be unheard. Let us be happy and grateful with the remains and try to conserve the heritage that lies behind them. May be, we people deserve only this much. Let us be thankful that those landmarks of prestige didn't wait to be spoiled by our own people, the sons of the soil but who are totally ignorant of their glory The God himself spared us from incurring negative karma. Let's be contented that atleast this much remains, so that our conscience awakens and we become more responsible with integrity
