I'm sure she does with Laurel & all. But I did feel my own hands when she said hers were Sticky, LoL. I think its that sticky tacky feeling items get from sitting in the kitchen too long and not getting washed. Like how the filter on the kitchen exhaust gets when it needs to be washed. 🤢🤣😅😂🤭

The oval vessel with the painting on it is an antique bed warmer. The more threads on the cap, the older it is. Great find, so glad you took it!

I have several of those Italian inlaid music boxes that I purchased when I lived in German. I noticed that sometimes you lift them by their lid, or move them around by the lid, and wanted to let you know that the screws that fasten the lid hinges are really small and short and with enough jostling/gravity on them, they will pull out. I had given my Mom one and she kept stuffing paper in stuff in it and I kept removing the paper and warning her she would ruin it. One of her screws in back did come out and the lock broke as well due to her stuffing things in there (everything but jewelry 🙄) and pushing the lid down.

The painted "stashed" oval thing is probably a vintage-antique foot warmer. Lid comes off, hot water goes in and it goes at the foot of your bed, under the covers! I loved the curtains!!

Yes the two Pyrex had lids. I got married in 1975 and got some like that. My daughter talked me out of them. She knows what is good. She remembers me making scalloped potatoes and baked beans in them. Funny how dishes bring back memories of days gone by.

Yes the Pyrex had lids..I still have the set of 3 I got as a wedding gift 45 yrs ago..and I use them but they are in great condition

The German/American piece was likely given to someone as a farewell gift. My Dad was in the Army for 36 years and he and my Mom have a collection of different things that were given to them at their “hail and farewell “.

That was a foot warmer. Fill with hot water, People in England find them all the time and they are super old. I don't know about that one, sure that is what that is. It heats the foot of the bed up before getting in.

Jocelyn, look at how Kat lists linens. She doesn’t always do full layouts. She snaps pics of folded items and provides measurements. I was obsessive about doing layouts of linens and I had built up a bit of a hoard. But I learned that if I disclose and photo flaws with a measure, I don’t have to do layouts. Folded pics suffice. And people buy.

9:47 is what we call "Bettpfanne" (bed pan). You fill hot water in it and put in into your bed. Very comfortable for use during cold winter nights. This piece is more some kind of souvenir item. Greets from GER, U.

I've boughten 2 sets of Correll dinner plates from a church rummage sale almost 30 years ago. Then yesterday, I hit a jackpot of more Correll dinner plates. They are mostly new designs; only a couple of them were actually vintage designs. I do not have any vintage Pyrex casserole dishes yet. I hope to find a few affordable ones in the wild someday. I do have 3 sets of Costco clear Pyrex mixing bowls; which is nothing vintage. I have always enjoyed all of your Goodwill shopping videos and videos of your kiddos/Andrew and You together ❤!!!

I used to go to Schweinfurt a lot when I was a teenager. That bed warmer piece was paintef for German American days where there was usually a small festival on the military base, maybe presented to a higher up officer.

I did stash 2 cut to clear bowls at GW; moved to the back of their shelf late Monday night. I went back 1st thing Tuesday am (25% off senior dayl) and bought them! 😬 7.99 - 25% sold for the big one for $150 😁

I don’t know but I am glad you put the curtains back. I feel like most people in these times may decorate vintage or eclectic antique would do solid colors. My windows at the moment have shears my mom had that has a built in embroidery all white. I may just do a top piece to cover the rods. Maybe I am picky but I would not want to be stuck with something I would never use myself.

About the box with seaweed, toss the seaweed in your flower garden to decompose (it's good for them) wipe out the box and list it.

Nice song 🎶 at the end. It is my best when you go hunting for goodies at Goodwill. The reason why is because it really is so random. The vintage mall items have been curated and while you never know what people have curated, they are more pricy. I enjoy watching and listening to your thought process. The clear stoppered bottle is Avon....1980's. Came with 2 matching green cordial glasses and green tray. Yep,have the set in the back of a cupboard lol

Love your finds! I hate it when I pick something up and am left with 'sticky fingers' As you say, it's gross, that's why I now have a small hand sanitiser bottle on my keyring so I can clean my hands when needed, and just refill it when empty.

Yes, the smaller Pyrex would have had lids and they came in a set of three. Those were the middle size of the three.

So many are commenting in favor of the curtains - if I’m not too nosy, mind if I ask what decade you were born in? Those curtains bought in the sixties stayed up forever! I got sick of seeing them in every house. Women didn’t redecorate on a whim like nowadays.

The large hand painted mug is made in Korosten Porcelain Factory that’s located in Ukraine. Wikipedia: “Korosten is a historic city and a large transport hub in the Zhytomyr Oblast of northern Ukraine. It is located on the Uzh River.” The letters spell out Korosten twice.
