Stewie2K just did something bizarre and it pissed some people off. He just did an impromptu interview where he criticized Hooxi, TaZ, and claimed to not know who M0nesy or Donk was.
Stew has since claimed people are taking what he said out of context and being uncharitable but it's caused quite the storm...

Honestly, I believe Stewie. He was a stand-in, not a permanent player. He probably went into the whole thing blind. Is Stewie better than HooXi? He was, and could be again, but currently? No. Stewie not caring about his stats and pushing in first was an interesting formula - especially when the players behind him are NiKo, m0NESY and huNter. I don't think this is really news worthy of a video, but with no 25th update for CS2, I can see it being a slow week. EDIT: So many salty people 😂

TBH, this video is a bit exaggerated. Stew is not dissing G2. He is just pointing out what G2's fans might have noticed regarding G2's inconsistent performance. Having someone like Stew who can point out issue with just a short time playing with G2 is impressive. This only highlights his actual deep understanding of the game and how a team should be working together. A good team would surely benefit from Stew's insight not the opposite.

This video doesn't even cover anything fully said and STILL takes things out of context. It isn't even drama he just talking about his experience drama would be G2 and/or the players like NiKo, M0nesy, etc actually like taking offense and responding back and it turning into a whole thing. All this is was literally someone talking about their experience and everyone hating or taking offense when they clearly either didn't watch the whole thing or understand it.

@@Sardjnas ... Newer star players? m0nesy was playing on NaVi from 2020, when Stewie was still in fucking Liquid. Then they both swapped team at the same time, m0nesy went to G2 and Stewie went to EG in 2022. They were playing in the same scene for 2 years.

Ngl, an outsider experiencing the dynamics genuinely brings a fresh new light. There are reasons why my G2 boys are never consistent, and Stew has a LOT of experience and has seen his fair share of bad and great teams, so I believe him on that. Honestly a lot can be lost in translation, but I'd love G2 to use this feedback to improve. I wouldn't say he shit on them at all, in fact.

I accidentally caught this live, I did not hear any of what people are accusing him of. What he said about g2 being stiff in team meetings 100% would make sense of their inconsistency. Something is wrong on the team and maybe Stewie2k taking the heat and saying what he saw publicly might prompt some change that could bring G2 to where they should be. Let's face it the best rifler and the best awper on the same team should have more silverware. Niko is arguably an older calmer donk with the experience. M0nesy is like the love child between kennys and s1mple but without s1mple's toxic team destroying personality. They should be more consistent than they are as a team. Hooxi obviously knows what they need since he is doing so much entry for them. If next gets replaced by an s class entry and the team atmosphere gets improved there will be one helluva turn around for this team.
