When I first saw the crimson loftwing, I immediately thought of Epona. From what little you see of its personality in the game, it seems to have a lot of hers. Groose and his groupies must have had a hell of a time trapping it the way they did, as I can't imagine it simply going quietly with anyone but Link, and even then it would probably give him a little bit of lip just because. Epona certainly gave her abductors hell in TP.

@Nonoctoro I always thought him to live eternally like the dragons, since he was a servant of the goddess just like the dragons.

Why would not flying through clouds mean they would be stuck in the skies? There are clearly gaps in the clouds in game just as in real life.

@NIgHTMaReFortyTwo like I said before, it looks like that on the surface, but in the sky it’s an impenetrable barrier. The loftwings also don’t fly through the pillars of light in the game, they will fly away if you get too close.

It's weird there on the freaking shield yet its not mentioned ONCE in botw. Well, the triforce isn't mentioned really at ALL in breath of the wild (and that was everywhere..next to the loftwing icon!) Why couldn't they mention it?

@@ns0557212 It might be part of the story that it was so long ago the people forgot, and the records may have been lost to the sands of time. The reason I think why the Triforce was only mentioned as Zelda's "sealing power" was because it too was largely forgotten, and I think BoTW2's story might be at least in part reminding the world of it. Maybe at least archaeological evidence if not living evidence of the loftwings might be in it too? I've noticed a few parallels between SS and BoTW, but that doesn't necessarily mean it would be time for things to come full circle yet.

Impar of the sheikah people and last inhabitant of the Hidden Village was tasked by the Royal Family to give instructions to the next Messenger of the Sky, we become it because of our quest after the mirror shard, one found its way to the city and Zant's(Ganondorf's) evil magic turned a Kargaroc into a wyvern-like monster named Argorok. Paintings of the City in the Sky found in the Snowpeak Ruins show that the previous messenger of the Sky was an inhabitant of that mansion strangely obsessed with the Ordon Village and its specialities, now forsaken and taken over by a cute couple of Yetis. The ancestors of the Oocca might have been the Wind Tribe, an ancient civilisation that was helped by the minish long ago and mastered wind powers until they flew to the skies, their homeregion was named Tabantha. Vaati, the wind mage, took over the Wind Palace they built and later caused its destruction by dying, living the Sky Tribe surely homseless. He might be behind the odd shape of the Oocca, maybe a curse. The Wind Tribe also had pet birds named Ritorocs.

No, the crest of Hyrule was created early in the timeline, so Loftwings could very well just be forgotten as the later generations don't know about the full history of Hyrule.

@@HyruleGamer well, if they were never seen again since that moment then that means the forgotten temple in botw must be sky loft. This is due to the carvings and statues of them on the walls, the room with the tree, and of course the giant statue.
