Cyclops has always been my favorite as well - from the comics tor the cartoon to the video games. To this day he is the only Marvel Mezco figure in my collection.

@hiddensquid7048 same here! I'm so behind on my comic book reading it's not funny. I've generally been a fan of most of Scott's costumes :) his radical X-face was awesome!

@StoriesFromTheToyshelf Yeah he's one of the most consistent in terms of costumes. Nothing has ever topped the Jim Lee design yet for me.

Wolverine was already a star in the 80s and 90s, well before the Hugh Jackman era. That’s why he got his own solo book first. In the 80s.

Yup he was a star and rightfully so. He was cool for what he was, the berserker with an inner struggle to be better. And still part of a team. Hugh Jack man's version changed that IMHO. Made him into a clean cut leading man. At the expense of all the other Xmen I mean I LIKE most of the live action movies but iconic members like Storm, Colossus and especially Cyclops were basically non factors because all the focus was on Logan and in later movies Mystique....

Such a shame that Colossus and Storm got the same treatment as Cyclops in the movie...which was basically nothing. At least Nightcrawler got X-Men 2 :)

The rebooted X-Men '97 did a marvelous job of resuscitating Cyclops, as, for old geezers like me, remember the old X-Men cartoon where Cyclops is just a ho-hum character. ...that being said, "cop-out mutant healing factor"? that's too much, man, too much...

Yeah I loved xmen 97. And I believe I read somewhere that the writers made it a point to not put too much of a spotlight on Logan which I think was the right call. He still had his moments but so did more members of the team including Cyclops. Yup I admit that by design as the "leader" the tendency is to come out kinda bland but what canni say? I'm a bland kinda guy 😅 I stand by the healing factor bit 🤣 I mean it really is like a cheat code for Logan, I mean it's comics where deaths are already meaningless 🤣🤣🤣

Their schism sounded drastically backwards. Logan, the berserker, would want to teach them to fight and defend themselves, while Scott would want to educate and protect the kids. Odd writing. I guess they were, as pointed out in the video, trying to bring Scott down to elevate Logan. 🤷🏻‍♂️ My favorite has always been Kurt… the Night Crawler! 😎

Yeah one redeeming and attractive aspect of Logan was that he was constantly trying to overcome his berserker side...but they went too far the other way trying to make him the new professor x and moral compass of the group. It took away his edge. Yup I love Kurt too! He's so much the heart of the team.
