I misread the title as “Did this Fish evolve *A* Stand?” And was immediately concerned. I’m glad to see we live in the timeline where fishes didn’t develop Stand Power.

Who else absolutely enjoyed the results of that one guy's experiment? The fact he made two tanks to see which temperature they prefer only to find out they don't understand how pipes work

As someone who's raised a lot of fish in small tanks, the reason you feed live shrimp instead of powder is they get stunted if you they don't get the extra nutrients when in that overcrowded stage.

I just remembered that we had an elementary school class where we had to 'design a product', and my teacher hated my interconnected fish tanks idea and gave me a bad grade because he was actually trying to steal and sell the best idea from the class, and mine wasn't 'creative' enough. Can't believe AVNJ just healed one of my hidden childhood disappointments.

When classing animals as endangered or otherwise, they class the wild populations, not the pet / food / otherwise populations. for instance, the african grey parrot is threatened despite being one of the most common large parrots in the pet trade

Animals in captivity are not considered when taking into account whether or not a species is endangered. If a species becomes extinct but has a population in captivity, they're classified as "Extinct in the Wild"

Im from California and I have great luck with fossils in the central coast. this time of year is perfect as this rare weather occurrence is happening it’s this thing called rain and when it rains shale deposits are exposed cause we have severe drought so our top soil is washed away easily so on the sides of the roads there is great spots to stop and fossil hunt so yeah drought bad but seems to make great fossil hunting conditions XD I’ve found many many different clams and other mollusks and a good amount of fish as well :)

I mean I haven't found super detailed fish fossils, but growing up in PA, up by the Lake you find all sorts of shell fossils and your ancient flower-like sea creatures. And in the Ohio river chains that's where they found one of the best Dunkleosteus fossils, so it's just a matter of finding good, exposed ancient shale.

That stingray fossil is probably found in the United States in a fossil formation in Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah called The Green River Formation. It's pretty cool, the fossils include many species of fish, plants, and even insects originating from the Eocene. These plates show a snapshot into life 50~ million years ago! The fossils here are younger than the shark teeth found in New Jersey but older than those found in Florida and the surrounding areas! If you want a fish fossil, you can get small ones for 10-20$ from various online stores such as Fossil Age Minerals or even Etsy
