In the first clip, that definitely looked like a real whale, and that wasn’t a pond. That really, reeeaaally looked like the coastline of the Pacific Northwest (which can have trees growing right up to the water and very steep drop offs). I’ve seen several videos on similar (or the same) docks of multiple whales swimming by.

Hey AVNJ, I live in India and from one of your videos I was reminded of a small incident that my friend told me about. Apparently, in his village a kid of a tribal community went missing and then his remains were found being gnawed at by a goonch. It was a pretty scary story, really makes me scared of the catfish. The thing is that they don't know if the kid drowned and then his remains were being eaten by the catfish or he was deliberately hunted by a catfish. It did make people wary of the catfish tbh. First clip is real. That is an Amazonian River dolphin. As for the catfish in the mud, there are several species of catfish, most notably in Africa (where, along with lungfish, when the rivers/pond dry up in the dry season they burry in the mud and form a mucus 'caccoon' to protect themselves, and go dormant until the rains return. This video was most likely faked for views (that last huge fish is not a species that would do this) but is based on a real natural occurrence.

10:12 that's a lot of scuds right there in the tank. Yes the shrimp are actively grazing but those nasty little things will outcompete the babies or eat them. Feeding less helps but there isn't really much you can do besides pick them out with a baster or syringe with airline tube on it and it's definitely in infestation territory

To the guy in chat that said our eyes would pop in space: No, they wouldn't. We've gone to space, so many times. What happens there is that you go from 1 atmosphere of pressure to 0, for a total of 1 atmosphere difference. What happens to deep sea fish is that they go from 10-25 atmosphere of pressure to 1, for a total of 9-24 atmosphere difference.

As for the cat vs koi theory, feline reflexes are insane. While I think its possible the koi could get the paw especially since the lil guy is basically offering it, however with their retractable claws and it being on on a wooden deck Id argue it would be able to react, hold on to the deck, and possibly even cut up the fishes mouth making the meal very much not worth it at that point. @@snakelizard2343 as someone from Louisiana, I can assure you that alligator snapping turtles probably wouldn't make good pets. They are territorial, *massive*, and they can be incredibly dangerous when threatened. If you have small to medium pets or children, don't get an alligator snapping turtle. A bad bite can maim or kill small animals. On top of that, they're difficult to keep in captivity for hobbyists. They need big, outdoor, watery enclosures where they can move freely without getting stuck on land. They feel vulnerable on land, and that makes them aggressive, since they can't move very fast to escape predators. This is all assuming it's even legal to keep them where you are. Many states don't allow it on the basis of habitat preservation. A lot of the states where it is legal to own an alligator snapping turtles require you to have a license to own them.
