@@jefhay3119 So all you have to do is make One "Fishy Move" and the Table when you first sit down and everyone will automatically think you are a less skilled player, there to give away money. Even though after said move your making nothing but Shark moves and Cleaning up and no one at the table will pick up that you are in fact, Very Skilled? I bet that totally works and you got everyone fooled.

@@danielmeuler2877it works sometimes if you get in a good spot early on after making some stupid bluff or something. Rare situation not worth donking off chips at the beginning of every session.

Because you're getting 2-1 on a call and you need a certain amount of bluffs+hands that you beat in villains range to make a profitable call. The Ax hands that you beat add some combos to the equation and change the math in your favor. You need to think about EVERY time you get in a spot like this and try to make plays that are +EV over all your calls.

I am struggling to see how this isn't extremely obvious, this concept is SUPER straight forward, are you just over thinking it? Like the other person who responded said, when you are calculating your pot odds on the river for calling, you want the math to add up to where there are enough hands that you BEAT and WIN the pot, as opposed to hands that beat you. So if against a "normal" opponent you were beating A, B, and C... and losing to X,Y, and Z... now we are saying opponent can have more hands he is betting that if we call we beat. So with the added combos now we are beating A,B,C,D, and E... and still only losing to X,Y, and Z. So in this example we now beat more hands than we lose to. That equates to better EV when we call because we are expected to win more than we lose. Hope that helps!

@@Haanski But that's the point I'm making. He said this is actually a "much harder call when you're up against somebody who can turn over AT or AJ in this spot". I assumed at that point, he misspoke, but then he said it again later: "It's more of a call, if he's NEVER doing this with AJ or AT." I'm guessing he just misspoke twice. I was double checking since sometimes he uses pretty sophisticated logic and reasoning to get to some of his conclusions, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something that made it more complex than it seemed.
