Yep those are diamonds. I got a bunch of diamonds there lake county diamonds.

"Lake county diamonds" aren't diamonds in the traditional sense. Similarly to how "Herkimer diamonds" refers to a type of uniquely clear formed quartz, lake county diamonds refers to a crystal structured rock that isn't a real diamond as well. Just an FYI.

Make sure you go up the creek beyond the man made ponds. A guy found a .8 karate diamond around where we were! 👍👍

Is this park still open. I have been googling it and it the Wikipedia states that it opened in 1996 and closed in 2001. Is this correct?

I found what appears to be a diamond at George Creek last year. It does not get super hot when flame is held to it, it has tiny specks of carbon inside close to the surface, triangular sides?, has an orange color to it, until you hold it up to the light. The orange traces look like sediment, until you hold it up to the light and suddenly it becomes see a transparent orange with the rest of the rock being clear in color. I'm going to go and get it checked out today.

Hey may I ask what state you guys grew up in? And of what descent are each of you (Native American, German, Russian, Italian, e.g., or a combination)?
