Kick off Sick Summer 2024 with us at Byron Dragway! Things didn't go quite to plan for ‪@nickkybobbyinc‬ or I today, but we made the most of it. It was a long day but thankfully Jason from Mickey Thompson Tires provided some much needed entertainment, even if it was at his own cost 😅

For data back up you really want to consider a NAS in the house connected to the internet they run over multiple drives (at least two) so if one fails there’s always a copy. As well as backing up your car tunes and data I imagine it would be good storage to back up your branding/ video templates/ .psd etc. Locking yourself out of your laptop is one thing but hard-rives do just die and the vibrations/heat from a 200mph street car won’t help :|

I love your channel Alex Taylor. I pray that your car is fixed to finish the rest of the drag an drive. When your dad came off talking about being in down town St Louis in middle of the night an having people driving around your car as your working on it. I live about 65 west of St Louis on I-44. Your dad is right St Louis is like number 2 as worse cities in the U.S. I Drag raced for 7 years started in 1999 I was in a accident at my job in 1993 lost both my legs above the knees . I had my NHRA LICENSE I was making pass at 7.62@165. Everyone knew me because I had a chimpanzee that went to the track with me an my x an kids. I miss it so much. I raced at MAR Track. I had a oil pump that lot wear in it once, miles from anywhere. Wouldn't get oil pressure after change filter and oil. Luckily on side of motor. Pump, end plate had deep score makes in it. I started off on a concert block, blocking the housing pump cogs. Then finished off on old flat window glass with some valve grinding paste. Worked well. Got me out of the shit anyway.

Get two external solid state hard drive and back up your laptop to it, put all the programs for the car on it that way if your laptop stops working you can go a electronic store, alternate drives in case one fails.

Mickey Thomson now developing running shoes. Small gaps?? That is what silastic is for. With that distortion maybe a gasket as well as silastic. On water I simply do not use paper gaskets as so many waterpumps, t stat housings etc are bent from new. Though WHY with a engine like that are you using wet sump?? Blind Freddy can see the vast advantage of dry sumping.
