This is Nova’s tribute to her family. Just 2 days after recording the song, Nova got a call that her grandmother, who had Parkinson’s, had died of a heart attack. Just a week after grandma’s death, they made this video. The emotional pain is real and easily felt. She made this video before the rona shutdown, over a year ago, and has been sitting on it. I’m so glad she finally released it. #hangovergang for Nova 🤘🏻🤘🏿🤘🏼🤘🏽

I always cry when her grandma passes and she joins her grandfather looking over the family as they mourn. This song gets me every time.

I got in a car accident and it ruined my spinal cord at 30, I'm 38 now and it's progressive. I have 3 kids and this song resonates cause I try so hard but I have so many hard days. The lady that hit me didn't even have a scratch.

As a mother of adult children, I want my kids at the end of my life to be able to sing that to me ...that they knew I did my best. I wasn't perfect, but I gave my all. That's what I get from this song - she's telling her family they don't owe her any excuses ...she knows everyone (uncle, mom, dad, grandma and grandpa) did their best. #HangOverGang #HOG4life #NovaRockafeller

If you watch it again and listen to the words it will help you follow the story better. It may take a few listens to see it all. The grandfather outside was the man who didn't pay attention to his daughter (Nova's Mother). The grandmother died suddenly, and joined the lost grandfather in the window, as they watch over the family in death.

This song is such a personal piece to Nova, describing her family and I felt like she let us into her home, her mind and heart. I loved this piece so much. It’s so relatable. I know you did your best. I could never get through saying that to my parents without crying. I think this song can be sent and communicate that, and what a beautiful thing music could do. These two aren't rappers. These two are artists in the truest sense. They're all over the map. And I carry the map in my nap sack at all times. I've been making a living with music and production since I was a kid. I'm a Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers etc. guy. A musical snob. These two are on my top shelf.

This reminds me of when my son was comforting me after I had an argument with his twin sister and she told me I was a bad mother while they were growing up (they were 15 at the time). My son said sure I made mistakes like the brief time I went overboard with the partying but he said I did the best I could with the hand I was given as a single mother. My daughter later apologized for saying something so nasty and untrue. I freely admit I made mistakes but I corrected or trued to make up fir as many of those mistakes as I could.

Definitely feel this song deep in my heart...lost my first bf/best friend to it in high school and my dad years before that, both to suicide, and just recently my grandfather to Alzheimer's...this song hits me every time (in a good way but also makes me a little sad at the same time)...definitely things I wish I could have said to them but this song also helps me remember everything they struggled with and that they always did their best for their loved ones no matter what state they themselves were in...absolutely love this song even though it brings me to tears every time I hear it...first time watching a reaction to this channel, definitely like this channel and subscribed

I think all the scenarios/stories were different members of her family. The over all message was aimed at all of them, that being she knows after everything they all did their best and they have nothing to prove to her. It is a beautiful song, that I'm sure just about anyone can relate to.

I have a friend that got in a fight one night and he hit a guy that fell back and hit his head on the concrete and it caused brain damage and put him in a coma for over a month, and my friend was charged with felony battery and sent to prison for 6 years. Even tho' it was a mutual fight between the two. So if you're going to fight try taking it to the grass because a human head hitting concrete can kill then your "simple" fight turns to felony battery or even murder.

@@BradAndLex They said the other guy started it by talking smack, but the court said my friend had the chance to walk off but he chose to hit the guy. So even if someone comes up running their mouth, you can't defend yourself until they touch you. And it did change both of their lives forever. He lost his family because he was in prison, and the guy that got hurt has permanent brain damage. He's a bit "slow".

Yeah my late wife lost her baby girl when she was only three years old due to gunfire. And until the day my wife died she never got over it. Her screwed-up family eventually told my wife to just get over it. I mean, how do you get over losing your baby girl? And to be totally honest, the only thing that gets me through about losing my wife is it that she's up in heaven playing with her baby girl.

I should have been dead at a month due to a drunk, addict parent. Many car accidences, drugs, alcohol (being the DDD), shooting, explosions later, I am still here with a great family. Is that fair? I do not feel guilt about still being alive.
