I'm quoting Nova's comment on another reaction that I saw this morning. "It was my grandmother who passed away. I actually wrote this song a few days before she unexpectedly had a heart attack and passed away. I shot the video a week later when it was all still very raw..."

She recorded this shortly after her grandmother died. It was very emotional for her. I saw on IG she watched it before it dropped and was crying when she was telling her fans about it.

Verse one is about her parents. Verse two is about her grandparents. Her grandmother recently passed & they made this video after, as a tribute.

Think about the fact that Def Jam had Nova's amazing talents and ability available when she was signed to their label, and they stuck her on a shelf because she wouldn't let them hammer into a mold they wanted to force her into. They deserved every bit off the diss she spit at them in "Hey You". I'm still new to traveling down the Tom & Nova rabbit hole, and one of the things I'm most amazed about with both of them is their versatility of singing in and blending different genres of music, and how much real emotion they convey in their song writing and when singing. When you factor in Nova's incredible amount of genius with visual-art, it makes their videos even more impactful at the emotional level.

Every person in this song that she's sharing their story with the world are her own immediate family members. Her Dad was an amazing singer that gave up his career for his daughter as a single father. He then helped her start her music career.

Nova did an amazing job telling us the story of her family - The tissues are strong with this one 😢 It is powerful and emotional.

Don't worry in my 5th wheel travel trailer with my wife we've had a couple of unexplained stuff happened in our trailer we're buying from a widow her hubby died either in the trailer or outside when ambulance and fire were working on him but a months after we had a small wood pic fly off our wall and lately on that day a empty pepsi can also threw out of the our cans and bottles bags that we save because in the state of Oregon our cans and bottles refunds is .10 cents per can and bottles IDK what happened that day but it was fucking trippy and 2 top that off there was no breeze or wind gusts that day when it happened
