I had the chance to see him play for Montreal Impact and score a hat trick, it was magical to see an international legend like him do that here. I think he might have helped make soccer a bit more popular in the area

Gaining fame through football is rather easy but not many players will actually stand up for what they believe as they choose to take a few steps from reality. But, what Drogba is doing and has done shows us the kind of power a sportsperson actually has in the world. Stopping a civil war almost singlehandedly is no mean feat.
