These two diecasts are by two different manufacturers and were released at roughly the same time as one another. The paint-less model is a Morestone Esso Petrol Pump Series No. 3 A.A. Road Service 'Jeep' (and by Jeep they of course mean Land Rover), and the squashed one is a Benbros Mighty Midgets No. 34 AA Road Service Land Rover. The Morestone was produced between 1956 and 1958, and the Benbros between 1957 and 1965.
Despite their similar subject material, both companies went about their application rather differently. The Morestone had black trim to the side cast 'AA Road Service' details and to the roof as well as having black painted wheels. The Benbros was yellow all over and its only trim was silver to the grille and front bumper. Each model has benefits and drawbacks when compared to the other, though the Benbros really suffers from its poor quality materials and construction.
I restore both of these Series I based Land Rovers to their original specification and will leave it up to you to decide which is the better model. You may be surprised in the video though!
