There’s no player ever that can transmit the same emotions from watching him play football. Not even Ronaldinho with his magic, Maradona apart from talent, was pure courage and effort on the pitch. His will to win at every cost was present in every game. No matter if he had to hand ball, or get past 6 players, he’ll do it. That’s what gets to you the most, when the things are going bad he shows up as the best ever. He never hides. Never understood ppl comparing him to Messi.

Maradona last years career are really underrated. People (as always) said he was finished after he left Napoli because he didn’t scored goal as ofthen, the thing they ignore is that he played as a complete midfielder since then. Maradona in bad shape was excellent for Sevilla, one of the best midfielder and with less time for adapt and less ball possession was one of the best playmaker with less than 40 games. With Newell’s he was even better and faster than in Sevilla, but he didn’t play as many games. And last with Boca, he was good midfielder with the team, and his lasts games with Argentina in the World Cup were insanely good as a 36 years old midfielder, actually, I don’t thing exist a better midfielder than Maradona at his 36 in Argentina in the history of football.

He was God. Transcended more than just football. Not only by a long margin the greatest, most gifted footballer that there will EVER be, the greatest sportsman and most charismatic, did it his own way and not giving a fuck sportsman to ever appear on earth !!! If you follow and truly understand football, then you know what he achieved in his short time and then you know that he has and will never have any peers. The likes of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo would be so fortunate to shine his boots. The command he had over a football was telepathic, he could make it do what ever he could imagine. Simply D10S !!!!!

Maradona breaking ankles with a smile and then would help you up but not before he rips a goal on your ass all while smiling. Messy and Ronaldo make it look hard and are always so serious, Diego looks like he's just having fun while making it look easy. He literally elevated his teammates to want to play better with his charisma and confidence. Can you imagine being on the same team as diego... he could turn a dog into damn good player

maradona es el unico futbolista en la historia que para saber lo grande que fué no basta con ver solamente sus partidos oficiales, pues te estarias perdiendo un porcentaje de su total dimensión... nosé bien como explicarlo, simplemente hay que verlo todo! tanto entrenamiento, amistosos como fuera y dentro de la cancha!! es lo que a mi parecer lo hace el mejor de todos los tiempos. nunca te aburre y lo que mas me sorprende es que pasan los años y siempre encuentro algo nuevo. Thank you for the video dude. This is for all footballers. What you witnessed was the absolute GOD of FOOTBALL. IF ever there a were a finer FOOTBALLER on this planet, I have never seen one. Nowadays you all footballers trying to emulate him. I will remind everyone that MARADONA invented and created those as early as the 70's. His skill level can never be compared to anyone. It is a insult to compare MESSI to MARADONA. Messi and no other FOOTBALLER in history has possessed this type of skill. I have been enjoying football before MARADONA was a ICON. He made his debut at 15 against my mom's team TALLERES. MY dad supported BOCA. I remember his ICONIC debut because my old man has the EL GRAPHICO of the black and white photo. Since way back then I have been a hincha of RIVER PLATE. I have never seen a FOOTBALLER come close to his skill. I do not think there will ever be a FINER FOOTBALLER than the GOD of FOOTBAL.

1:17, 1:55 - an under reported skill of Maradona's in his vast bag of tricks was his ability to ride challenges: literally hurdle the outstretched legs of other players at full speed and go past them while controlling the ball. This is a skill you see less of these days because if the opposing player even attempts to block or slide tackle that high up the leg, it will result in an instant yellow or even red yard. Its not worth taking the risk (and frankly they don't have to contend with Diego Maradona either). You see this particularly in the earlier years of his career, when he had pace to burn and dribbling was a major feature of his game. Iconic footage from Mexico '86 also shows this skill off, particularly one slalom against Bulgaria that always makes his highlight reels.

i agree maradona is the best ever, but cmon messi have been robbed of crazy amount of assists as well, facts are that maradonas teammates helped maradona 1986 more than messis teammates helped messi in 2014 and stats prove this. valdano and burruchaga scored together scored 6 goals that world cup. aguero and higuain score 1 goal between them in 2014 world cup

Yo tengo 56 y lo vi cuando el tenía 18 y yo terminaba la primaria..lo vi en la cancha de CENTRAL en Rosario se estaban preparando para el mundial del juvenil del 79 que lo ganaron..te juro me emocionó ver a un tipo hacer maravillas con la redonda..en esa época los defensores eran criminales Passarella , Higuaín padre, Pernía ,etc y le pegaban duro el seguía gambeta y lujos. Vi mucho fútbol y jugué en inferiores de NOB Y ARGENTINOS DE ROSARIO y nunca vi algo así...era fuerte además de hiper hábil. Lo volví a ver en NOB cuando volvió a la Argentina antes del 94 seguía intacto...NUNCA OLVIDO ESA ELEGANCIA AGILIDAD VISIÓN REFLEJOS Y LUJOS ..UN TIPO ÚNICO.

Sin Diego Armando Maradona el football no es y no será NUNCA MAS lo mismo. Se fue uno de los Dioses del football. Otro que considero a su nivel, y no habló sólo tecnicamente(pq Messi tb no tiene nada que envidiar a Maradona en este aspecto) sino en pasión, carisma y magia que trasmetia a la gente es Ronaldinho Gaucho. Será difícil ver de nuevo alguien de este calibre, sobretodo pq los tiempos han cambiado, ya no hay mas esta pasión en la cancha. Pará mí el Football se está apagando lentamente....
