Always liked Allis Chalmers! We had a D 17 gas, when I was a kid as an adult I had a D 12 for pulling transplanter! My son is in Missouri I’ll show this to him !

Dave, thank you for the update on the D17. It should make someone a very useful tractor. I see by the comments, you were correct. They would be making corrections where needed. No one can remember and know every detail about all the tractors. This is true for you too. Especially with the different manufacturers and the number of models they built. I would much rather have you looking at us, when making a video. Then hearing your voice, as you read through a book/manufacturers spec's on all the tractors/equipment you have on your lot to repair and sell. I do enjoy hearing Angie and you telling us about up coming show's etc. I hope you have tons of people to stop by and talk with Angie and you. As much as I would enjoy coming, I am disabled and live in Pennsylvania. So there is no way I could be there to meet Angie and you. Keep doing exactly what you and your family are doing. Finding tractor's and equipment to repair and sell. It is wonderful enjoyment to watch your videos and the work you do as a family. May God bless you and your family.

Buda diesel was eventually purchased by Allis-Chalmers.

It's not a Buda, it's an Allis Chalmers. They owned Buda by the time the D17 was made. Also Buda never made a 262

My father sold AC from 59-83. Sold a ton of D-17's. Mostly gassers. We owned several series I, II, III, and IV. Great tractors that were really thirsty. Those first diesels were very problematic.

Run some D 17"s, but never a diesel! I like the D 17"s

We had a 17D Series II Not bad BUT they had a nasty little habit habit of blowing head gaskets if you didn't give it plenty of time to cool down at the end of the day. That snap coupler and hand clutch took some getting used to but once you mastered it , it was a good tractor and it's power output was at the very least equal to it's rating.

Correct color is called International Orange, if memory serves me. Had a couple of cans when we had a CA series on our farm.

You could get a wd45 with deisal
