My E-06 issue turned out to be a fuel issue. The heater would switch on and run properly for about 5 mins or more then display E-06 and shut down. I pulled it apart and checked the fan was free and the sensor was spaced correctly and that was all fine. So after reading somewhere that the issue may be fuel related I checked the fuel pump and filter and noticed that the fuel filter was lower on the intake than the output side (angled downwards) and the line was lower on that side for a 6 inches or so. I cable tied it up so the line was now pretty much horizontal and its been working perfectly ever since. It apparently doesnt take much for these impulse pumps to not work and the agitation of the diesel can create air bubbles in the fuel line. Anyway what ever the issue is its now fixed (its been giving me grief for a while). So its worth checking this if this video doesn't resolve the problem. Cheers

I bought two units 9 days ago. One worked perfectly straight out of the box. The other one did its best to start up but to no avail. I heard the fan stoating to spin but aftershave 2 seconds it die down and error E6 came up. Openend the unit up and inderdaad the gap behind the rotor was a bit wide. So like you a pushed it a bit closer to the sensor. No result, still E6. Then I decided to take the rotor off completely. And then I found out that there was only 1 magnet in it! Now I have ordered some new magnets. They'll probably come in the day after tomorrow. I'll keep you informed if the proble is fixed!

I had an E-6 Error. The fan had moved too far AWAY from the control box which has a sensor to detect the magnets in the back of the fan so it knows how fast it is spinning. I got a socket and tapped the fan IN looking at the intake end so it moved towards the control box. Needs to be about 1mm but not touching or rubbing. That fixed the problem. Thanks... that is what I experienced as well... it can fail in both of these scenarios, too close too far. ...and they also are delivered with crappy bearings! Don't see a way to get to the motor without some special tools or build a tool.

Yes good video, mine kept cutting out on start up after changing the glow plug and defuser, i found putting the defuser in the freezer helps it fit better, after all that i realised my exhaust was blocked

can I used Diesel Fuel, Supplement/Cetane Boost in my heater fuel to make it burn cleaner , keep it cleaner?

Mine has a similar problem. But only when turning off. Normally the fan will spin for a while to cool off, but mine fan stops spinning what results in frying the motherboard. One I had the whole car full of white smoke and an awful plastic burned smell. Opens it up, and couldn't find an issue so I let it run without the casing and the same happend again. After a few more tests it didn't do it again. Hopefully it was just something random

The fact the fan moves does this mean it happens a lot sliding on the shaft that it doesn’t lock in?

So just will keep the fan from moving again?

Mine is still stuck on error 06, adjusted air gap, replaced motor brushes (mine were worn down to the wire in only 2 months), when I hit start button, theres a click, fan starts, “on” flashes, another click, error 06, error code 06, stops. Not sure what try next, any help is appreciated

Its a hall effect sensor it tells the brains that the fan is running and in some cases speed.

I found a weird one on that code. Every time i put the heater into place it threw this fault up, then the exhaust fell off and it worked. I went to reconnect it and it sparked and went to fault again. I run mine off leisure batteries. Wondering if i should take the ground to the starting battery.

UPDATE 18.06.24 THE REASON FOR THIS PROBLEM MAYBE DUE TO OLD DIESEL FROM AN OLD JERRY CAN POURED INTO NEW MACHINE, NOT THE HEATER ITSELF. THO I'LL NEVER KNOW FOR SURE, THIS COULD BE WHY IT NEVER WORKED FOR ME >> "Just installed one of these Chinese Diesel heaters brand new out of the box and it died instantly with ERROR 06. Literally not managed to get it working and its all over. Spent 2 days installing it, and now looking at spending a 3rd day ripping the whole unit back out again. I now notice lots of people complaining about this very same issue here on KZfaq, the dam heater never worked, and must of been broken when it left the factory. Tried all the fixes here on KZfaq and nothing works. Nada. How this translates into "good value for money" I do not know".

It happened to me twice

I will say one thing when it fails a code 6 the fumes will choke you!!!!!!! They come out of the burner intake hose. That hose should be outside of heated area. As a result in shop it tripped a combustible fume sensor off resulting in a fire alarm.

my problem was the motor going bad, getting more resistance.

Mine was fan needed tapping further in e 06 code

I just had to switch the controller from 24v to 12v. I dont know why it switched to 24v out of nowhere but it took me a week and a complete disasembly and trying of new spare parts to find that out. Hope it helps someone :)

My heater has been having nothing but issues, I've replaced the glow plug and now the blower motor won't even spin. I tried relubricating the blower motor, nothing works I'm stuck here without heat in Minnesota winter and no money to buy another heater, stay away from these Chinese diesel heaters there prone to problems. I've heard that people have had good luck with theirs but mine just wasn't a great fit....
