Diesel Heater in RC snowmobile trailer

I finally got one of the diesel heaters for the 29ft RC snowmobile trailer. Had it shipped out to Wyoming Overland's shop. Matt helped me get this installed. WOW!!! It was easy to install and it works great!!! It kept up with the -14 deg F temps that we had there. Changing into snowmobile clothes was warm. And when we got done snowmobiling the trailer was warm to change out of the snow gear. The heater was a great investment for the snowmobile trailer. Looking forward to getting back to Michigan to take it to the UP of Michigan and stay in it for a weekend. Stay tuned for another video on that trip.

Keep up with the interesting vids.I use to Snowmobile in Northern Michigan back in the 70's.The snow season pretty much dried up and people switched to 4 wheelers.I miss it. I had a 74 Arctic Cat 440.

Thanks. It is still fun to ride snowmobiles. I don't have the crazy expensive ones. I like riding 4-wheelers too.

I like the black with the carbon fibre look. Where did you find this model. I don't see it on Amazon. Do you think it would work to thaw the ice and snow off of two sleds in a uninsulated 12' hybrid Sno Pro trailer overnight?

Check Amazon or vevor. It may struggle without the sides and roof insulated. But with it being shorter it might work. It is a great heater. I have been very happy with it. It is nice to be able to change into snow gear and be warm. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

How deep are the shelves for battery/charger and heater. I’m new to snowmobiles/trailers and really appreciate your help! Great setup and very neat!

The enclosed helmet box shelf is factory. Not sure of the size. The brackets for the heater to sit on are from home Depot. I still have to get the battery and charger system installed. Thanks

Is the ceiling, walls and floor insulated in your snowmobile trailer? I'm looking at putting a diesel heater in my trailer

I am looking to put one in my trailer for the sled season. How did it hold up on your battery? Did you have a charger on it or shore power or did it not pull much power?

You do need a good way to keep the battery/ s charged. I plan to get 2 AGM batteries. I have shore power setup so I can use a generator when out snowmobiling.
