Awesome tools, I am proud to see someone's box not filled with the tool truck brands only. In our industry the only arguments people hit me back with are ease of warranty, and "my sockets fit better than your sockets". Those are not good enough reasons for me to spend 6x the price. Especially when the Snap-On guy refuses to warranty what you didn't buy from him personally. Stuff that violates his franchise agreement but in the end doesn't matter to Snap-On. [Getting the job done is what counts.] Strong work Bro.

My snap-on guy is awesome. He broke a ratchet of mine that he technically couldn't warranty just so he could. He brings us new tools to try out for free. I also buy stuff from harbor freight. Once I realized that I would break a snap and pry bar just as fast as a Pittsburgh I buy all the tools that i know i will break regardless. I still have a bunch of my husky tools from when I first started out and none if it has really broken. It all has its weaknesses. Just depends on how much of a full send you do🤣🤣

If something fits a little loose go with one or two wraps of Teflon tape and she'll fight snug.

If your snap on guy won't warranty snap on tools you didn't buy from him first he's a shitty dealer. You should call snap on head quarters. I was with out a dealer for a while called snap on about a 3/8 ratchet i broke they sent the rebuild kit right out.

"Just enough to get the job done." Wise words. Your tools are there to earn money, if they earn you money then they are quality tools.

Very good with the tool box tour, looks like you're progressing really well, keep it up, and no rush with the tools, they will definitely compile as time goes by, would always advise to shop around when it comes to tools, and looks like you're doing good with that with the variety of brands you've got there, so that's always good, keeps the budget friendly.

My wrenches from 1/4 to 1 1/2 are Snap On, but above that are Harbor Freight. There's enough steel in them I don't worry and you sure can't beat the price. Excellent box and tools, thank you for sharing.

nice toolbox and tools i've heard some people say they don't like the shallow drawers on the icon box but like you did i would utilize them with screwdrivers, wrenches and plyers.

I replaced my matco box with icon. The matco dealer wouldn’t sell me a hutch and locker. Kept trying to sell me on a new $14k box. Hard pass. I got the icon box, hutch and locker for $6k. Very happy with it. Wrap video on my channel.

@Sid The sloth yea. I really like it. It’s not snapon quality (obviously) but it’s also not snapon price. I feel like it’s one of those best bang for buck things. I’ve had a couple very minor issues with it (user error) that don’t in anyway affect the functionality. I’m gonna order the top cabinets and 2nd locker one of these days.

If your working in the field find a brand or brands I should say that u can afford make deals with and Aquire only professional grade tools for the stuff you use daily and need to be perfect you can cheap out a bit on things like getting a used box and or carts and things like adapters big big wrenches and or sockets pry bars punches and chisels it’s honestly different for each tech and depending what your actual job is you gotta find that balance that works for you to not go broke but still look and produce professional quality work on every job from Simple services to complete electrical or engine repairs and overhauls.

Nice few things might all a good multi meter or 2 , harbor fright ones work well , drive line sockets from tool truck . I got my drive line sockets from snap on they think come in a set 3 popular sizes . Then starter ones too , the flexibility ones too extension 3/8 and 1/2 drive . Long extension from too truck 1/2 drive on one side 3/8 on socket end works good for transmission work . I just got the battery 3/4 impact gun from snap on truck love it for taking off truck lug nuts . Mirrors for looking at and around stuff T pins for putting into electric plugs CAREFUL from south main auto u tube chanel. a good chanel to watch and few others then one from Oregon works on lots farm tractor to heavy equipment, and pick up trucks . Then on the tool trucks set u a price limit and stick to,it . Then I got mine from tool truck extracts for broken bolts to the one's u drill in to and then use it to twist them back out , forgive me I know what they are just not the snap on part numbers. Then if u do a lot or going to be doing electric work few home made test items , I went to hardware store got a 110 plug that u can make your own cords with , u will both ends . Get 2 to 3 ft of orange , yellow , black 3 wire cord like you have for drop cord . Next stop auto parts place get few clamps that will go over the battery. hot and ground . Wire one end of the drop cord to the 110 plug make sure it has a ground plug type I put the ground on ground on plug and black clamp , then red on other ones. Do same for other part of plug, then u can use a drop cord to get power and good ground were u might be working. I work on roll trucks to trash trucks , and at times and need good power and grounds , another nice testing tool head light with pins or clamps that way see it wire can carry a load , got this tip from south main auto u tube channel.

Why do all so called gas or diesel mechanics show their tool "collection" and I say that because they always look brand spanking new. Like they are in a museum. Is there something I'm missing? The tools look brand new. Don't mechanics use their tools? Especially diesel. I was always curious why all these guys that showboat there tools never look like they use them. I wanna know why. I mean I have two cars and I'm a diyer and my tools don't even look this clean. Can someone explain please?

Yea the box is $3k. You can get a deal using the hf credit card. Also look out for coupons. They occasionally do a 20% off. I got the 72” box, stainless top, hutch and side locker with the 20% off coupon, came out to $6k. I’m super happy with it. I have a short video of the wrap I did on it.
