Thank you very much for your detailed video on how to test with a regular volt meter. I was having problems with my truck and the ICP was the first part I replaced, but was still having problems. I replace the IPR and ECM, still having problems. Not knowing where to go from this point I came across your video on how to test the ICP with a voltage meter. I checked the wires as you said and found the wiring diagram that came with the aftermarket ICP and new plug end was wrong. I switched the wires around based on the voltage you said I should be getting from each wire. Problem solved! Your video saved me from buying any more parts! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!

Ron, Thanks for all the helpful hints. I recently replaced the turbo on my 6.0. The truck runs great, however under a heavy load with no loss of power it will throw a PO299. The turbo pressure on the instrument cluster will indicate good positive pressure and the scan gauge would show a negative boost, VGT will also drop below 15. All seems normal when the load lightens up a bit. Please help. Any Idea ?

Same thing with mine. Did you figure it out ? I’m getting 1.3lbs of boost on the freeway. New turbo, new map sensor, cleaned port

Could a bad icp sensor cause a 2005 to miss slightly after driving for approx 20 mins and them stopping at a red light?? Starts great cold. Btw I am without a doubt gonna buy a ficm from you off eBay when I need one. Thanks again for all the help..

hey Ron I love you channel its has helped me out so much....Best channel on KZfaq ever for Powerstroke Help Had a Question i have 05 6.0 f250 powerstroke just got it out of the shop for egr delete, heads studs etc.turbo went bad so got new turbo put on aswell, my mechanic stated he upgraded to a blue spring as well....Now no power on top end, pulls good partial throttle, good boost but when your at wot/floor it, bogs down and lacks power? what do you think it could be?? fuel pump/fuel filter,icp .....pls help

i changed the fuel filters and it runs better, but i still want to drop the tank and clean the in tank filter and add a airdog 2..... change the fuel filter under the drivers door

wellsmd1 i tried that..... it didnt work. i'm thinking the HPOP is on it's way out. it's in the shop now for a new oil cooler and to try and figure out what this fuel problem is - i'll keep you posted

I went back and listened. I don't think I made it clear. ICP PRESSURE READINGS CANT BE TRUSTED ON A SCANNER IF THE VOLTAGE IS NOT CONFIRMED. Don't believe me?? Disconnect your icp and monitor the icp and ipr. Its normal isn't it? That's because it was lost so it went off desired. No starts that also have a bad signal will kick your butt on this.

Ron had a question for you!! Got a 6.0 with high ipr psi the truck basically is over fueling and wants to run away, just did erg and oil cooler replacement? Have any thoughts? I have hooked a gauge to the icp and I really do have 2000 plus psi in the rail, im thinking the ipr is not opening properly .
