Absolutely agree with Dr. Serrano! I've been cooking with bison tallow, pasture raised lard and ghee for about 3 years. I mostly use butter on meats, oats, potatoes and veggies because sometimes it can smoke easy due to trace milk solids! In addition to this, the saturated fat has increased my testosterone to an optimal level! That is great for me as a woman working to build muscle and health 😊🥑 thank you John!

Hi John. I have a doubt, and maybe you could throw some light... I have been trying to doublecheck if the fats I am using for frying are the best. I use coconut oil. For my surprise, when I look up Smoke Point for oils. Even refine olive oil, for instance, has a higher value. Macadamia nut oil appears in all the papers with the highest S.P. (difficult to find and quite expensive as Avocado Oil or Ghee butter) Any thoughts why this massive contradiction?? Thanks for all the info! Keep up the great work :(

Paul Dewar No problem. Also you might want to try removing any possible irritating foods. Try to do some fasting as this will allow the gi tract time to heal. Reinoculate with probiotics. Repair with nutrients or supplements. This advice comes from personal experience with my self and clients.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV Bible [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV Bible [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 10:9-13 KJV Bible [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. John 3:16 KJV Bible For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. no kind of fats are ‘bad’ per se, we all die if we don’t get enough of each kind of fatty acids. The problem most people face come from imbalance of fat intake, for example, too much saturated fat or not enough omega 3 fatty acid. In addition, saying polyunsaturated fat ‘is bad’ is not accurate. Omega 3 is a kind of polyunsaturated fat that most modern diets don’t offer enough, in contrast, we tend to over consume omega 6 fatty acid coming from corn (and animal fed by corn including US raised beef and chicken).

However, one of my FAVORITE fats in all natural, no bullshit oils/sugar added sunflower seed butter...after looking up the fat profile of sunflower seeds, I realize they actually have more polyunsaturated fats than mono! should I be concerned if I microwave this nut butter with my meat/rice for 4 minutes? Great info overall, but if I may offer one slight correction: MCT’s are still saturated. They are liquid because the chains are short enough that the melting point is below room temperature. There is a direct relationship between carbon chain length and melting point. Edited to change "inverse relationship" to "direct relationship".

Great video Could you do another video with the dr. About knee tendinitis? My right knee only, I always hear different information about patella tendinitis and how to treat it. It’s to the point now that my left quad is noticeably bigger and stronger then my right.

I primarily use clarified butter for high heat cooking. I find the flavor of coconut oil to be too strong for me, and the milk solids in regular butter burn when cooking at high heat. Thoughts on clarified butter for cooking?

So canola oil good or bad for cooking? Also... I plan to add additional fats to my daily intake, would it be advised to adjust my current macros or can I just simply add in some of these fats?

Stay away from the oils. It's better to cook with butter, lard, ghee, or tallow.

Love it. What about combination strategies? Eg any reason not to combine fats and carbs in the same daily or pwo meal? I find i last longer before running out v if energy pwo id i have protein, carbs and fats instead of just protein and carbs

I've heard that when cooking with say coconut oil you want to heat it but definitely don't want it hot enough that it starts to smoke. it is at that point where it becomes not a good oil to ingest. is this true? Can you ask the Doc for a good clarification on this?

Hey John, love the content! Quick question: just got an overnight freight job (work from 10:50pm-7:20am) and i go to the gym right after; what is the best advice you can give someone on this regimen, trying to get strong and lean? Thanks for your time.
