It's league playoff time for high school baseball, with the OIA Division 2 playoffs underway. Kahuku has clinched the top seed after an impressive 9-1 regular season record. A key player for the Big Red is senior middle infielder Diezel Kamoku, who is batting .410 with 17 stolen bases.
Kamoku, also a standout in football who committed to the University of Utah, helped Kahuku win the state football championship this past November, which was headlined by his go-ahead punt return for touchdown in the final minutes to win the game. He is now looking to continue his athletic success in baseball.
