When he said expensive I was think about 300 bucks. I’ll be stopping at Walmart and I can purchase 15 of the red portable stand up grills that I can use over a span of 15 years

They're $1000 each here in Australia. That's the equivalent of 6 Weber Go Anywhere bbqs. I wouldn't live long enough to use all of them.

I just got me one of those stand up grills for $25 max . I grill for my family and it works awesome. These other brands try to hype up their products so much it will be their downfall

It’s definitely not for everyone but it is the most portable, well built grill I’ve ever come across.

This thing is perfect for someone in an apartment that doesnt allow grills on the porch, overlanders, traveling construction workers, farmers, ranchers, or anyone on the go. 700 dollars is a lot of money but if its as rugged built as they say... Im all the way in.

Nomad's style of charcoal is very common in asian countries, the design makes way more sense than a briquet or just broken pieces of junk lump. Lately my experience with B&B charcoal has been declining product quality and rising cost. How can they charge so much for almost burned wood?

I love cooking and grilling but two hours to cook a chicken... that's a long time. By the time the chicken is ready most of the guests are gone.

Ask for the "military/veterans" discount, then it's worth it! There are a few accessories/add-ons hitting the market now, like flat-top griddle and BBQ accessories.

I think a flat top would be pretty cool for this grill but I’m not sure there’d be enough airflow for it.

I’d take a Weber Smokey Joe over this any day. There’s no way I’m paying $700 for a tiny portable grill when I can get a Weber for under $100.

When seasoning those grates, you said 4 times... so do you apply oil 4 times? How long do you keep the grates in the oven after each reapplication? Thanks!! Great review!!

Yes, I apply a light coating of oil each time and leave them in for about an hour. You’ll know their done when they stop smoking.

Amen! Where's it manufactured? US? Cost to manufacture? Warranty? Does the warranty cover rust? They all rust sooner or later! This is supremely overpriced. At 300 it's interesting. 700 laughable.

the nomad just does not work for me, i tried several brands, lump and brickettes, i have not tried the nomad fuel, but my weber works perfect and lump coal, and i can start it faster and up to temperature then a gas grill(the secret, use no lighter fluid, buy a weed torch, 250,000 btu, stuff starts fast!), and with lump charcoal, i an reuse the fuel over and over again, it just smolders off, once the airs are shut off

$695?!?!?! I guess it all depends on your budget, but with a Weber go anywhere charcoal grill for $80, or the Smokey for for $100… time will tell..thanks

I've got the Smokey and prior to the Nomad I brought it wherever a portable grill was needed. It's a nice grill but the Nomad has a lot more versatility and a much larger cooking surface with the addition of the 2nd grate. And it's just easier to transport. But I get it, it's very expensive hence the thumbnail.

Wait for sale. I got mines for $500. Still a lot but the performance is great. Love the smoker function. It performed as well as large smokers. If you grill and smoke food, it’s worth it. If you just grill, then it’s not worth it.

It’s not for everyone. I wouldn’t replace my home grill but this thing is great for travel.

@@DiffFamilyReviewsit's a gimmick...like yeti ....yeti makes dog bowls too ..and not cheap ..it's a brand name...it's what people are willing to pay " brand" ...Weber ...lodge cast iron...all long lasting with a rich Americana history and still around...this suit case bbq is novelty and will eventually fade ..like the SnS traveler ...a knock off a Weber jumbo joe...
