Diffusion weighted imaging made easy! Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) is one of the most important sequences in Neuroradiology. It's hard to imagine imaging of acute ischemic stroke without DWI, and it's role in differential diagnosis of brain tumors for instance can't be underestimated. It's also a difficult sequence to understand. In this video we explore the physical basis of the DWI sequence, we learn how to correctly analyze a DWI-sequence and illustrate the DWI-technique with lots of examples from daily neuroradiological practice.

Sir can you tell some coditions where we can seen T2 washout

Basically any situation in which there is facilitated diffusion (high on ADC) in a T2 hyperintense lesion, like (often but not always) in vasogenic edema for instance

If lesion is hyperintense on DWI but isointense on ADC, would it consider as restricted diffusion?

no, true diffusion restriction is black on the ADC-map, might be some T2-shine through or ADC-pseudonormalisation in case of a subacute ischemic infarction.
